I have to preface this by saying the vibes and the service here was NOT the problem!! The outside seating area was so cute and the servers were very attentive and kind. My partner and I ordered multiple menu items including raw oysters, grilled oysters, seafood fettuccine pasta and steamed clams. In our opinion the food was lackluster aside from the raw oysters.
The fettuccine lacked dimension and the noodles were soft. As for the clams and gridded oysters, both recipes used hoisin sauce, which in itself is not bad but presented to be too sweet and overpowering to the natural flavor profile of the seafood. Instead of a light acidity pairing it felt sugary and imbalanced.
Also side note if you get bread as a side, it is white bread and not toasted.
If you’re in the area I still recommend it for the vibes, the oysters are very yummy with the house sauce. But hopefully this review is helpful in a way if you decide to visit!

This place is absolutely worth the drive from Seattle!
They farm their own oysters — incredibly creamy, fresh, and delicious. The sauces were unique and definitely must try.
The grilled oysters were also a delightful surprise.
Their geoduck sashimi was amazing — even I, someone who normally doesn’t eat geoduck, couldn’t stop eating it!
The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. They chatted with us and made the experience even more enjoyable.
I really love this place and will definitely be coming back next time!

It was absolutely amazing! The coconut prawns were fantastic—so full of flavor that I didn’t even need the sweet chili sauce. The fresh salad was perfect, and the oysters were simply the best I’ve ever had.

I’ve been to many seafood restaurants and oyster shacks, and everything in between, all over the world. Now, THIS is an oyster bar and some. The service was friendly and impeccable. Made a reservation through Google, and they were expecting us. We were seated outside so that our dog could be with us. The chef brought fresh flowers to each table. The food came out in short order. The coconut prawns were freshly made, as were the egg rolls. Both were piping hot. Imagine our delight when the raw oysters arrived on a bed of ice. Such a wonderful contrast to the palate. The chef described each specie of oyster and said they were from their own farm. These scrumptious little things made my day. Then there was the plate of grilled oysters. They were perfectly grilled with a subtle hint of hoisin sauce. The staff was small, but each person in the team worked together like a choreographed dance. Water was refilled without being obtrusive. And everyone loved our little dog. A great way to celebrate an anniversary. We’ll be back again soon.

We were visiting from Florida and our air BNB host had recommended Fjords. Upon arrival, we were greeted with great customer service. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. We ordered oysters, which were amazing. Tried Finnriver cider and became instant fans. All of the food was great and the service was even better. We ended up returning a second night for another dinner. 10/10 all around. Atmosphere, service, and food is all top notch. Can’t wait to come back and visit. Thank you all for a great time!!

Oyster Bank is my favorite northwest seafood experience. Located in Hoodsport, Wa on beautiful Hood Canal. It offers a variety of tasty dishes that reflect the season and recipes of Xinh Malley, Master Chef, a culinary hero for many of us. I start each visit with raw or cooked oysters. Today I had prawn and clam fettuccine. I finished off the meal with apple pie. The flavors are amazing and I always feel welcome with such a great and hospitable service team. I highly recommend the Oyster Bank to all of my friends and visitors.

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive!

The Fjord Oyster Bank served up the best grilled oysters we’ve ever had hands down. Better than any we’ve tried in New Orleans or even the fresh offerings at our local Taylor Shellfish farm. Perfectly charred, flavorful, and bursting with ocean freshness, these oysters were truly next level.

It’s a bit of a trek to get there, but that’s the only downside. Honestly, it’s a shame it’s so far away we’d be regulars if it were closer! Don’t waste your time driving to Hama Hama. Instead, stay in Hoodsport, grab a pint at a local brewery, enjoy some ice cream, and most importantly, treat yourself to these unforgettable grilled oysters.

We paired ours with some fresh bread and a cold Black Indian IPA absolutely perfect. If you’re on the Olympic Peninsula, do yourself a favor and make the drive to The Fjord Oyster Bank. You won’t regret it.

Wow, this place is outstanding. The grilled oysters, fresh oysters, coconut prawns, fettuccini and the gooey duck were so fresh and prepared perfectly. Can’t wait to come back and try more. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere is so cute. Highly recommend the black current cider too!

Our server Michael was warm, personable and attentive. We felt so welcomed! The heaters on the patio with the fresh local flowers were a vibe. All the food was SO fresh and flavorful. I don’t usually like oysters but I loved the grilled ones (pictured). Salad and clam chowder also excellent and fresh. We also got some coffee and fancy watercolor paper inside at their little shop. A lovely Sunday afternoon. 10/10 would be back again when we’re nearby! PS: patio is dog friendly

Had to give up the 5 stars for this one. I passed this place while it was under construction during the chum run last year, and had my fingers crossed for something good.
Not only was the food excellent, the presentation, the staff, the service, the vibes, all 100% on point and absolutely perfectly delivered.
Had oysters, coconut shrimp and steamer clams this time out to try it. Wife had a white wine, I had a couple of excellent beers.
We had our huge dog with us, and he was treated like royalty. They brought him treats and water, and he was in love with everyone fawning over him.
The local fare, the lemongrass ginger and garlic butter steamers, the oysters, oh boy, we’ll be back. They were super welcoming and sweet with our kids and the outdoor cooking have me a backyard feel. They
even brought us blankets when it got a bit chilly, and all of this contributed to an absolutely Hygge feel. They had the fire going, we ate outside under a covered patio and just fell in love with this place. Absolutely our new favorite spot in Hoodsport.

Incredible.
