We have frequently dined in, and gotten JustEat from Everest in Swords. It is a family favorite of ours, for friends visiting, takeaways, or any other occasion. The food is always great, and that was the same tonight (although cold!) However, we ordered a takeaway tonight (14/2) through their website. Ordered at 7pm. Confirmed that it would be delivered by 8:26. By 9pm, we began calling the restaurant, wondering where our food was. Didn’t answer any calls. Called from multiple phones, multiple times. Still always “user busy” or no answer. Food finally arrived at 9:40, 2 hours and 40 minutes after ordering. Wanted a refund, or some sort of money back, but the deliverer (who worked for Everest) didn’t seem to care. Disappointing situation for people who have been plenty of times and wanted our favorite takeaway for Valentines. I understand it’s a holiday, but if you couldn’t have accepted the order within a reasonable time (we were willing to deal with the 1.5 hours they listed when they confirmed the order!) then you should have cancelled and given us the money back. Lukewarm food at 10pm is not acceptable for a 7pm order.

We went on a Saturday evening for a date night and everything was spot on. The food was incredibly flavourful and fresh—even better than takeaway. We had samosas, momos, chicken korma, butter chicken, pilau rice and naan, and the cheese naan is a must-order . Portions were very generous. Service was friendly, fast and attentive, without ever feeling rushed Highly recommend to friends, family and all Indian food lovers.

This food here is unbeatable! My partner and I love coming here and we even make a 40 minute journey to eat here as its so good and the staff are so lovely. I still haven’t found any other Indian place that can come close to as good. The prices are reasonable and it’s always clean and has a lovely atmosphere. You could ask me if i wanted to eat here everyday and I would never be able to say no. I come here every birthday and for most occasions and bring my whole family as they love it too. Never close down pls and extreme compliments to the chef! 10/10 favourite restaurant out there and definitely recommend 🙂

Had to wait 10 minutes after being seated until I was forced to go up and ask for menus, it then took another 20 minutes until I was again forced to ask to be served sitting there 20 minutes without even a drink. When we eventually ordered it then took another 25 minutes before receiving our drink. Took 40 minutes before receiving food too. By the time they brought our naan bread we were finished eating

Speakers had really bad static and cobwebs on the chandelier I’m absolutely shocked with the atmosphere and service of this place to be honest I wanted to go different but will be definitely returning to the chilli shaker next time

I ordered food on Christmas eve, especially rang them to make matar paneer medium spicy, all your man on the phone heard was “SPICY”. I was unable to enjoy the flavours of it because the mouth and tongue were burning. We also ordered momos, which were great! New to the area and wanted to try a new place… and will never try you guys again!

Thanks

We drive 40 mins to get here because it is the best quality food by far around our area! Its a nice place always very clean and the staff are always lovely. 10/10 cannot recommend this place enough. We come here for a lot of special occasions. The prices are always very fair too. You definitely get what you pay for and more here. Our No.1 place to go for food.

I placed an order which was accepted and marked as in progress, but it was suddenly cancelled after more than 20 minutes. This is completely unacceptable. I relied on this order and wasted a significant amount of time waiting. Because of this cancellation, I then had difficulty ordering food elsewhere. If restaurants are going to cancel orders after accepting them, they should not appear as available on the platform. I expect an explanation and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Very nice and fresh food, loved the different curries I tried and fresh nan bread. Service was excellent and the early bird menu was really good. Went on a Tuesday evening and was very quiet. An extra point for having mango lassi which is not easy to find.

My wife (who is pregnant) and her pregnant friend visited this restaurant with a specific craving for appetizers, only to be met with shockingly poor treatment. Despite explaining their situation and politely requesting multiple servings of appetizers to satisfy their cravings, the staff refused to accommodate them unless they ordered main courses. When we clarified that we didn’t want full meals, the staff became dismissive and outright refused to serve any food at all.

What’s worse was the staff’s condescending attitude. Instead of showing empathy or flexibility for two expecting mothers (or any customer, frankly), they doubled down on their rigid policy. A restaurant that prioritizes upselling over basic customer care—especially toward pregnant guests—has no business serving the public.

It’s not just about the food; it’s about respect. Families and individuals deserve to be treated with dignity, not belittled for their preferences. We will never return, and I strongly urge others to reconsider supporting an establishment with such appalling service.
