An iconic French brasserie has made its way to Nashville. Pastis features elements similar to the NYC original such as the restaurant’s classic curved zinc bar outfitted with signature subway tiles, vintage mirrors with handwritten daily specials, and a mosaic-tiled floor. Guests can expect to find the classic fare Pastis is known for.

We came here for Christmas Eve and were incredibly impressed. They were fully booked, and we still got seated before our reservation time since we were early.
We both ordered the bar steak, steak frites. The steak was large and cooked perfectly. The huge pile of delicious butter on top brought it to an even greater level. Fries were great, the ones at the bottom of the stack that ended up with lots of butter and steak juice soaked into them were superb. One of the best steaks either of us have had – mouthwatering memories for sure.

Pastis is an easy five stars. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, the service is excellent, and the food was consistently great. We started with wine, the cheese plate, and French onion soup, then had the steak frites and chicken Kiev, finishing with sticky toffee pudding and crème brûlée.
The standouts were the cheese plate, soups, fresh bread, and desserts. Cheese plates can sometimes include one overly funky option, but every selection here was enjoyable. We also appreciated that the service wasn’t rushed, which gave us time to enjoy our wine and conversation. My steak wasn’t cooked quite right initially, but it was handled promptly and professionally. Valet parking is available, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

First visit here & overall really good just a couple of things that were off.
Had a resy for a table but, stayed at the bar since we arrived a bit early.
*Vibe- fun , energetic, lovely decor
*Food-Oysters Fresh tasting with a classic simple presentation (the in house Hot Sauce was incredible!)
Salad Verte truly incredible
Frites- nice, thin and crispy
Steak Sandwich great flavor but, minimal steak on sandwich.
Issue Item: We asked for steak to be more to the rare side & bartender said it’s prepared medium rare with a good amount of pink inside. When it came out there was not even a hint of pink. She (bartender) was surprised it was so well done so she had it remade. The second one came out medium rare but, it had about 1/2 of the steak the first one had on it.
We decided to just let it slide because we were starving at that point & it felt like it wasn’t worth the hassle.
The second thing that was off was she used the same wine glass for my second glass of wine eventhough it was a different varietal
First glass Chenin Blanc
Second glass White Burgundy
A fresh glass is always a nice touch which was missed here.
We will go back and hoping these two issues I had were just an oddity and not a regular practice

Pastis is easily one of my favorite restaurants in town! It’s always busy, but absolutely worth the wait—and if you can snag a reservation, even better. I ordered the Lobster Frites and my partner had the Steak Frites. Both were incredible, and the huge pile of fries makes the dishes look so impressive. The fries are also perfectly cooked & salted (way better than McDonalds fries! lol) The garlic butter on the lobster is truly to die for. The lobster is generously sized weighing 2 pounds! Truly incredible!
The staff is friendly and on the move, which matches the lively atmosphere. Tables are close together, but that’s expected in a spot this popular. I’ve always been too full for dessert, so I’m already excited to go back and finally try it. And if you arrive early, the bar is usually easy to snag without a reservation!

I’m a big fan of Pastis! I love the New York location. When I found out the opened in Nashville I was thrilled. But you know what? I think the Nashville location is by far my favorite. The hospitality, kindness and service is incredible. Very social and special team. So glad you’re in Nashville, and great job in choosing your team. Beat of luck. Special thank you to Michel Johnson, the Manager. We were stuck in traffic and got delayed for 30 minutes. Still took us in, welcomed us. Took care of every detail of our dinner. This spot for a casual dinner is 10000000/10 recommend. Best in the USA.

Pastis Nashville is a wonderful experience for those trying to get a taste of France at home here in Nashville. As frequent travelers abroad, the Escargot, Beef Tartar, and of course the Steak Frites were reminiscent of our time in multiple regions of France. There was a lot of energy and the noise level was very high, which could be attributed to the high energy of opening weekend when we went. But it did not distract from the wonderful time we had!

Loved the caesar salad, simple but super crispy fries, the chocolate mousse and the lemon sorbet was my absolute fav! Beautiful ambiance, great service. Felt like I was back in France. Highly recommend.

Since we arrived as a party of two a couple of minutes before opening on a Friday evening, we were offered a table, even though we had no reservation. Two hours later, by 7PM , the restaurant was filled to capacity. I would definitely recommend reservations.
The food and service were great. Not surprisingly, the restaurant gets noisy once filled to capacity.
Parking is virtually non-existing, we chose to use a ride-share service in order to avoid this.
At the moment there is serious construction across from the restaurant, affecting the traffic flow.
Definitely worth a repeat visit to sample some of the other dishes.

If I could give Pastis a 100 out of 10 for customer service I would – it was truly the best service I’ve ever had before. I booked a reservation online the day before, and received incredible communications ahead of time about parking, asking about whether it was a special occasion and other important info. When we got to the restaurant we were created by an incredibly friendly group of staff that sat us immediately at our table. The server was top notch – had lots of recommendations and answered all of our questions. We were visited by the manager that evening to check in on our meal. I left my glasses at the table and within 5 minutes I had a text message and a voicemail from the staff informing me of my error and provided me solutions on how to get them back into my possession. The day after our dinner I received an email and a text message following up on our meal and asking for constructive feedback. Truly have never had a more comprehensive and thoughtful approach to customer service as it relates to dining. As for the restaurant- it was absolutely adorable in its design and aesthetic; I felt like we were transported to a bistro in France. The food was superb. We had the ricotta ravioli (10/10), the half chicken (10/10) and the shrimp salad (10/10). Even the bread service and French butter was top notch h. My only regret was not going with more people so that we could order more things off of the menu. I can’t wait to go back.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing remarkable about this restaurant. The food is “meh” (the French onion soup was especially disappointing), the menu is pretty boring, and the service was pretty slow. To be honest, this restaurant kinda seems like an overpriced Chili’s with a French-inspired menu/decor instead of Tex-Mex. That, coupled with the difficult parking, means I probably won’t be returning of my own volition anytime soon. If you and your partner/family/friends are deliberating about a “local” joint to grab a bite or drink at, I’d skip this one. There are much better options out there, IMHO.
