def a must try restaurant experience here, had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The sushi was insanely fresh, every piece had so much flavor, and the presentation was elite. On top of that, the interior is sooo pretty. Super chic exp vibes but still somehow cozy and comfy ??The service was really friendly and made the whole experience even better. All of the staff checked in on us constantly and made us feel super well taken care of. I’ve had plenty of sushi in New York, but this place really stood out. Definitely see how people become regulars here.

This is our first time to this restaurant. There were many in the vicinity, but some were closed on Sunday. We started with Edamame and Miso. Most places I have been to just offer these for free, but I paid for both! Then got the Fireball, rate at 7/10 it was a bit small and dry. Then ordered this creamy Salmon hand roll, this was delicious and creamy 9.5/10. Then ordered I think it’s crazy roll?! Pictured above with spicy tuna, it was delicious and filling 9/10. Then finally the lobster roll, which we waited on for a little while, almost lost my appetite. It finally came, I have to say it was a bit dry, presentation wise it looked good though 7.5/10. Overall Sushi was fresh and good experience. When it came to paying, the tip percentage I think started from 20%?! Don’t know what happened to 15% and 18%. It just keeps getting ridiculous here in CA! I mean I paid over $30 tip for 2 people lunch!!

Kumadori was a lovely surprise! We were greeted upon arrival and seated quickly. The sushi was flavorful and fresh. We had to take some to go! The server was attentive to our needs and gave us some great suggestions to try. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Kumadori did not disappoint! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Cali!

Easily one of my favorite sushi spots! The vibe is awesome—super clean, modern, and relaxed without feeling fancy or stuffy. The sushi is always insanely fresh and flavorful, and I love trying one of their special rolls every time I come in (they always have something new and amazing). The staff is super friendly and on top of everything. Just a really amazing spot all around—I make sure to stop by every time I’m visiting!

This place is great. I have been here a couple of times and never had disappointed me. their food is so fresh, recently I tried the lemon roll and OMG it was so good, i definitely recommend it.

I dined here with my hopes of finally answering my craving for a good old chirashi bowl. I was surprised that they don’t serve chirashi. Eh. I had the spicy tuna hand roll and rainbow roll instead. It was good. Fresh, well put together and the rice was on point. The service was excellent, the servers were attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is average, typical sushi restaurant ambiance.

I had a really disappointing experience at Kumadori Japanese Restaurant. During our meal, a server brought us a chicken wrap we didn’t order. When I asked about it, they told me it was a Chef’s Kitchen Special and said it was on the house. I appreciated the gesture—until I checked the receipt after we left and saw we were charged $17.95 for it.
This is incredibly unprofessional. If something is presented as complimentary, it should not end up on the bill. It felt misleading and dishonest, and it completely soured the experience. I won’t be returning, and I recommend checking your receipt carefully if you choose to dine here

Combine dinner with a large party and delicious sushi, and you can get no better place than Kumadori Sushi in Glendale, California, in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) to have your friends gather at. They recently celebrated 10 years (Happy Birthday!) and we were able to enjoy our meal in their private second room that’s available for events and large parties.
