One of the best restaurants in Metro Detroit! I’ve tried several of their tasting menus and been blown away each time, especially by the creative and delicious desserts!

Really love the interior, open space, and vibes of this place. Food here was plated well and looked really nice, but the taste wasn’t all there for me, especially for the price…

– Garlic Bread: 5/5. My favorite dish here. I loved the crisp and softness of the bread, with the flaky cheese on top. And the tomato basil oil was amazing!
– Labneh & Peaches: 3/5. Not a fan of the salad dressing. Wish it came on the side because it drenched my salad. Nice touches of peach tho.
– Wagyu Steak Tartar: 4/5. Chips came out cold and flimsy, which didn’t compliment the tartar as it should have.
– Charred Octopus: 2/5. Instead of tasting charred it tasted burnt. Tzatziki sauce didn’t pair well nor the burnt crisp on top.
– Oxtails: 2/5. Not what I was expecting… it was more like small bits of oxtail pieces with overcooked gnocchi.
– Linguini: 3/5. Noodles were overcooked, muscles were a lottt smaller than what I was expecting. Sauce was good.

Ate at Coeur for the first time tonight and was blown away by their new spring tasting menu. Our server seemed to understand us right away and gave great drink recommendations, so we fully trusted her suggestion on this tasting menu. Each dish and wine pairing was a full on sensory experience. Lena, the sommelier, was a brilliant into to each course and guided us to pick out unique notes in every bottle we tasted. The entire staff was so welcoming, attentive and kind. A last minute Friday date night to remember, and we will definitely be back!

The restaurant, Coeur—which means “heart”—offered a fantastic vibe with a modern flair and chic setting. The open kitchen was stunning and added an energetic touch to the atmosphere. The company was excellent, and both the servers and cooks were pleasant and polite.

The potato croquettes had a nicely seasoned exterior, but the interior lacked flavor. The little gem salad, essentially a Caesar salad, was decent but unremarkable. Unfortunately, the well-done burgers we ordered were dry. While it’s a common belief that well-done burgers are always dry, that’s not universally true—I make juicy well-done burgers at home. On the other hand, the ribeye steak, cooked to a perfect medium, was fantastic, complemented by an amazing sauce. However, the fingerling potatoes weren’t to my liking, as they were overly lemony. The house bread—a sourdough served with spicy Sumac butter and sage brown butter—was absolutely incredible.

I will definitely come back to this place and try a different dish. It’s the kind of restaurant where the ambiance and creative menu invite you to return and explore more of what they have to offer.

How many times can I describe something as amazing! Last week I joined a friend for a fun dinner experience – the 5 course tasting menu (Fastfood Remix).

From the moment we walked in I was delighted. The restaurant is bright airy with open kitchen; service top notch and it feels like everyone was celebrating a special occasion. Staff were friendly and energetic, the sommelier was so impressive and kindly poured me some of the selections (even though only my companion ordered the wine pairing). I love an open kitchen and the chefs are doing their thing back there – having fun and making inventive excellent food. I kept looking around to see what the next table ordered. Everything presented so beautifully.

Standouts for me were the Waffle fries (crispy seasoned outside, soft middle) with homemade Chick-fil-A sauce with the best sautéed spinach I’ve ever had; the rich duck fat biscuits and gravy; and the steak hache with brussels sprouts topped with aged cheddar and special sauce (perfectly charred sprouts with sharp cheese, tangy creamy dressing). Additionally, the charred octopus with a beautiful garlicky tzatziki sauce. Just Amazing! Cocktails were also well crafted, perfection. I was pleasantly surprised by the G&T which is slightly sweetened with the syrup and extra herby with rosemary garnish. We ended the course with 2 sweet treats – dessert was play on Wendy’s frosty with a lightly salted potato twill and chocolate mousse – and then homemade fruit gummy treats (favorite was passion fruit one).

I was tempted to book a reservation for the very next day because I needed my husband to experience this menu. Fingers crossed they bring back for next year but I’ll for sure be back soon.

Update: Visited again and it stands up for a 2nd visit! Booked for anniversary and they truly took care of us (so thoughtful). We started with a complementary celebration drink (rose’) then ordered the drinks (Bergamont G&T and a couer 75) and steak tartare as an app. For our meal, we went with the tasting. Outstanding presentation – loved being surprised by the menu. The fresh hamachi, grilled mushrooms and dessert dish were the standouts. We had 2 dishes that we never had before – cuttlefish and quail stuffed with Cajun sausage. Also the chef prepared an extra steak for us to enjoy. The taste of the grilled items is incredible! It was awesome but we were so full that point. Everything was seasoned, again presented beautifully. Ended with a bright lemon posset and dark chocolate treat finish.

The experience here is INCREDIBLE, we had the best time. We did the tasting menu and would recommend it to anyone going, the service was a bit slow but they were slammed busy so it was totally understandable. They actually were the ones to point out to us that their service was slower than normal, and upgraded one of our meals to apologize so instead of the smoked lamb chop they upgraded us to the wagyu steak and it was amazing. The sourdough cookies??? To. Die. For. And they’re zero waste because they turn their left over bread into the flour! Genius

If you’re looking for a fun date night that has an amazing atmosphere and good food, this is where you should go!

I was excited to try this restaurant and was not let down! My boyfriend and I made a reservation for my birthday. We wanted to have the Five Course Tasting Menu but due to my food sensitivities, I was worried it wouldn’t work out. It turns out they were very accommodating and made us each a delicious meal. The cocktails were also lovely. The extra chocolate treat and the complimentary glass of rosé for my birthday were wonderful!
The servers were all incredible as well!

Ferndale’s hidden fine dining gem! Tasting menu is always meticulously planned with a kitchen that can accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions without issue. Their sommelier team is excellent and offers thoughtful drink pairings (with zero proof options available).

The portions do tend to be on the smaller size for what you pay but honestly the service and ambience, along with the flavorful dishes, all work in concert to deliver a top-tier dining experience.

Four of us went to dinner last night to celebrate a birthday and engagement. We did not. Have a reservation, so we had no expectations from the restaurant to do anything special, but to our surprise, they went all out!! The staff did everything to make the evening special from complimentary sparkling toast to a card. The food was exceptional and made fresh. From homemade pasta, bread , butters and desserts. Things a must experience.

Was excited to try this place!!! First impressions were strong – the waiter’s assistant/hostess was very very nice and accommodating. Definitely noticed this and greatly appreciated how thoughtful they were. The Negroni was good! I would say they have solid cocktails. Food was just okay. I think for the price I expected more. The croquetas I would pass – our waitress said most tables order this – I found them not super flavorful. Not bad but not worth trying. The mussels were good – the broth was good only suggestion would be to char the bread (our bread was very soft). The risotto had a good base flavor – black sesame threw me off. The scallops were good but not cleaned the best – were a little gritty. Cabbage flavor was good but salty. Overall I would say we had a solid experience. Based on the price and quality of food I am not sure I would come back. Maybe for drinks cause they were awesome and the service was great!
