The service is always friendly and efficient and the food quality is always fresh and CONSISTENT! I know no matter what day of the week, or time, my food is going to be cooked perfect. This is coming from someone who eats here at least once a month, sometimes more.

When you order lunch specials with pork fried rice or the dinner combo they give you rice that was made earlier and they microwave it. If you’re not ordering inside the restaurant where you can see what they’re doing you will never know, but the rice will taste different. I had them do me fresh rice when I saw them do that. Other than that the food is good.

I ordered egg drop soup. When I got home about 20 mins later they gave me won ton! I don’t like won ton. There was no one else in the place!
I also got 1 shrimp roll and steamed dumplings. They were both gross!

I really don’t like to leave bad reviews , but last night was a total disaster.
I have been ordering from plum tree for many years and have noticed that the amount of salt they have been putting in the food has increasingly gotten out of hand.
Last night the l wonton soup broth was straight up salt! I was not able to drink that The sesame chicken.
looked like it had been reheated and had a cart board taste.
It’s such a shame because in the past I have raved about the food.
So disappointed.

I’m surprised by the not-so-great reviews; this place is my favorite and I consider myself a foodie! I daydream chicken egg foo young (an omelette on fleek, try it! In Saint Louis, they put the egg foo young patties on white bread with mayo and pickle and call it a “Saint Paul Sandwich”)
All of the cuisine Ive tried from Plum Tree satisfies the desire for large portions of Chinese take-out, but isn’t overly greasy or taste fake. I do stick to the chicken dishes only but that’s a rule I have for any inexpensive take-out. I’ve never had an issue calling in an order; the woman who I’ve spoken to is clear and friendly. But I encourage anyone speaking with an English Language Learner to please be patient. Choose kindness. They are trying!

Worst chinese food that I have ever encountered. Shrimp fried rice was horrible. Chicken wings dry and bland and steak and mushroom dish was disappointing. Will never go back to this place ever again. If you are reading this spare yourself the aggregation and go somewhere else.

The wonton soup is very bland and the pork inside is very dark we ordered the lemon chicken it was so over breaded it was dried out really did not have flavor and the soup noodles were stale we will never eat here again… Also the girl that serves you at the counter isn’t exactly the friendliest

Have been going here off an on for along time, sometimes good and other times like now, food is so bland. Ordered shrimp with lobster sauce the and the sauce was total flour/cornstarch, no flavor, Shrimp were good. Other dish ordered was bourbon chicken, no sauce and no taste. They are so inconsistent with their dishes so will quit going there again. Definitely not worth the money for bland dishes!!
