I’ve had a lot of really good experiences here but also a lot of bad ones. The past managers were just super overbearing and you could see how miserable the employees were working here. They usually only have 1 person per task I’ve noticed, and seen them get backed up over this. Other times I’ll come in and they’re just dead and everything takes 2 seconds to make, and that’s incredible!

OK. I’m just going to say the truth. There is a certain type of family buying up all the Tropical Smoothie franchises in SW Ohio (this one included) that are basically running them as family employment agencies and ripping off customers by meting out the most miserly portions they possibly can get away with. This is the before and after on my wife’s UBER Eats order when she had to drive to the store for resolution after the employees refused to answer the phone EIGHT times. Shame on Tropical Smoothie for allowing these owners to ruin their brand while paying top dollar to their “employees” (i.e. family members).

PLEASE put straws in the bags for to go orders. I order delivery when I am at work and almost everytime I have no straw for my smoothie. I got a straw one time with my order and that was ONLY because I called a head of time just to ask for them to put a straw in the bag for delivery. I should not have to do that.

This location has changed so much. There’s typically one to two staff members, slow service, opening late, waiting an additional 15 plus minutes on orders. I keep telling myself give it another chance I know it’s new management, but time and time again it’s either food order wrong, long wait, or late opening hours.

Was in a rush to pick something up and run home to eat before work, I get home to find this sandwich made with disgusting moldy bread. Multiple other reviews shows people finding mold in their food, DO NOT EAT HERE! Inexcusable to happen once let alone multiple times, this is sad, unhealthy, lazy, and your location should be shut down. Someone made this entire sandwich without realizing! Pitiful. Customer service was not helpful.

Got a quesadilla and i don’t know if they didn’t have the right packages but they literally just balled it up and threw it in here. Haha I didn’t think this would be that hard but I guess so, at least I ordered multiple things. Young kid at the desk didn’t say a word walking in and just handed food. Yikes. Luckily manager helped an was able to get a new order when I am off tomorrow.

Came in not too long ago and the older white lady came out and helped the man that came in after me. You should always ask who was here first instead of just picking a person seems like since I’m a person of color I got chosen to not get helped. Poor service and will not be coming back. Last time I went the smoothie did not taste like it was supposed to and decided to give another try but not again. Service sucks and this is not the first time!

I went there for lunch and ordered a turkey bacon club sandwich. By the time I got back to work to eat I noticed the bread is covered in mold! This is absolutely disgusting and it’s inexcusable that this was not noticed while preparing the food.

Tropical Smoothie has ruined me to all other smoothie places. In my opinion only I can make a better smoothie. What I like is that they don’t rely on sugar water and artificial stuff to give their smoothies flavor. I can order certain smoothies there with no sugar or sweetner added and they taste fine (albeit, I’m used to not drinking sugar so not everyone might agree). Add protein and it’s almost worth the extra carbs!
Anyway, I see a lot of complaints about the service at this establishment. It does take a while to make a smoothie. And even when you are the only person in the restaurant you don’t know what phone orders they are working on. But I’ve been coming here for years and it’s worth the wait for me. Yes the really kind gentleman who was always personable and helpful and seemed to run a tight ship hasn’t been there for years and they have your usual teenage turnover. But really, I wish people would stop complaining about poor service at minimum wage paying establishments.
