So a friend and I came here for lunch. I ordered two shrimp tacos and a chicken tamale. The tamale was big and really delicious, though the tacos for me were the real star. Came with cilantro, avocado slices, and pickled onions and I just thought it was a real treat. It’s a bit of a grungy hole in the wall and I will say when I asked for water and got bottled water my expectations were pretty low, but the food was uniformly delicious (though it took quite some time to come out). I had a very disappointing experience here. I clearly explained when ordering that I have a pork allergy and that I wanted a chicken gordita. I also waited about 30 minutes for my order.
When I opened the bag, I realized it was beef, which I do not eat and did not order. I politely explained that it was incorrect. The woman at the register became visibly upset—huffing, puffing, and throwing things near the counter. There was no customer service or professionalism.
She then took the gordita back and removed the beef and put chicken in it, which is not acceptable, especially when an allergy has been stated. That is a food safety and cross-contamination issue. I calmly explained this and asked for a refund. She refused and told me it was “my problem, not hers.”
I was respectful and calm the entire time. I understand that the restaurant may have been busy, and it seemed obvious that she was overwhelmed and took it out on me, but that does not excuse unsafe food handling or rude behavior—especially when allergies are involved.
This experience made me feel unsafe eating here, and I would caution others with dietary restrictions or allergies.

I was very disappointed receiving this order. First off it was backwards I ordered 8 revuelta and 1 frijol queso. It came the other way around. Which would have been fine but these were so poorly made. There is no cheese at all just all refried bean inside. No cheese pull what so ever. And they are all cracked and broken apart. That tells me the masa is either left out too long or these were previously made and reheated. Highly upset as I was looking forward to this meal. Makes not want to order from here again.

Never had a problem with this place until this week when I ordered the carne asada tacos which got me sick with food poisoning. Would come back again, but not to order the tacos. I haven’t had a problem with other items on the menu.

These have to be the driest platanos ever. I’ve had them from here before and they were great. I don’t understand what happened they were dry and bland this time. Couldn’t even muscle down 2! Luckily the gordita was delicious.

I usually always order from here but this time this place took it far! If your looking for some reheated and than burned food than order from here. You need some shark teeth to chew the food this place offers.

The chicken burrito was tasty but on the smaller side. I opted for chips instead of fries. The Pico was delicious as well as the hot sauce! The pork and cheese pupusa wasn’t my favorite but it certainly wasn’t bad either. The girl working up front was very friendly and greeted me upon entering. Overall a pleasant experience. I’ll be back to try their other dishes.
