2nd visit: New name, same good food with a Brunch menu!

1st visit:
I enjoyed my visit to Manny’s Seafood in Collinsville. Lots of seating and the place looks great. Our server was very attentive and nice. Soul food and Mexican is a heck of a combination but it works. The catfish was delicious and Mac and Cheese could stand a bit more seasoning but was good. Steak and shrimp was cooked well and my chile relleno was okay.. didn’t have the batter on the pepper I’m used to but it was ok and the enchilada was good. Overall it was a good meal and I would recommend trying them.

The place itself looks nice, and the service was really good. Our server Trinity was pleasant and made sure to check on us multiple times. The food was not very good. I can’t say it was bad because the ingredients and everything was of decent quality but everything was so bland! I knew we might be in trouble when I saw the menu had 10 pages of food items in it. The chef just need to use a little more salt and spices in my opinion. Also my quesadilla looked more like a giant taco. It wasn’t pressed or melted inside. I asked Trinity if this is how it normally comes out and she had no idea, how could she? There’s 10,000 items on the menu.

It was my first time eating here and I enjoyed it very much. The food was good, service was good and it was a nice and quiet environment which I enjoyed. I’ll definitely return.

Choices of food range from mexican to soul food all in one location. Everyone should be able to find at least one item they would enjoy. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great.

The food here should be illegal to be serving to customers. It was my wife’s birthday dinner at that and her pinto beans were soured. It’s as if they were 2 weeks old. My vegetable plate was extremely bland I don’t believe the cooks put seasoning in their dishes. Definitely will not be going back. The manager Chastity was quite snobby and seemed to act like giving us a discount on our having to taste absolutely disgusting days old beans was a tragedy. It doesn’t end there….the sweet tea about put me into a diabetic coma. I would think again before ever going back to this restaurant!!!!

Very SOURED tea. Very sad “ribeye” sandwich. Ordered rare, but it came brown & ..boiled?
Appears to be the same menu as Mannys.. We came back hoping for a better experience than the prior name. Won’t return. ): beautiful space though!

Visited with my family and had yet another terrible experience. I thought my last visit was bad—my steak tasted bland and old, and the manager at the time told me she wouldn’t do anything because she would “lose money.”

This visit was even worse. There was hair in the food, and our booth had two stink bugs and flies. The solution they offered? A 50% discount on the meal that had HAIR in it. We couldn’t even eat it—why wouldn’t that item be removed from the bill entirely?

Unacceptable service and unacceptable standards. We will not be returning.

Manny’s is our favorite place to eat. My husband and his boss are regulars at Manny’s formerly known as Mrs. Kitty’s. They’ve been coming here since October 2021 two to three times a week for dinner. I came to visit in July and I’m still here! My husband couldn’t wait to bring me to Manny’s and I’m so glad he did! Manny and Issac know my husband and his boss by name and always stop by to say hi! And Gloria what can I say about Gloria, she is fabulous, always friendly knows exactly what drinks to bring and red pepper flakes for my husband! Today we went for lunch amazing! I had a side salad and a bowl of tortilla soup it was wonderful they put tortillas all around the inside of the bowl, the side salad is huge! My husband had the lunch special, chicken fajitas. The portions are big and there’s always some to bring home ! You must try Manny’s you won’t regret it!

Went in for first time try since our fave restaurant was closed had the carnitas, she had their version of a steak ACP and cabbage/greens mix. Food came out great and hot just the carnitas could have used a little seasoning everything was plated great and looked great, service was good and atmosphere was great only thing would be a little more spice and flavor.

Tonight was my second time eating at Manny’s. My fiancé took me there a couple months ago & I was very impressed by the menu selections. I couldn’t stop talking about how good it was that time & after tonight’s visit I must say, it is now my favorite restaurant to get Mexican dishes at. They have a variety of other dishes & the portions are more than generous plus the prices can’t be beat!
