We were just passing through on our trip, and this place was a recommendation – a good one! The place is nondescript from the outside, yet offers a very nice place for dinner. The welcome & the service were very nice. Although fully booked we were offered a table – nice! The food was simple and delicious – love it! Not too many dishes on the menu; and that’s all it needs. Food made with dedication and love. If you pass through Ridgecrest, make sure you stop at “Mon Reve”.

Our server was very friendly, kind, and checked on us several times. He took the time to explain every dish and never made us feel rushed.
Onto the food, we started with the shrimp and scallop dish which was savory and the cheese on top was cooked to give the perfect crunch. Th lamb and filet mignon were cooked to perfection and served with the most exquisite sauces. The
Crème brûlée and was Devine and we had this egg white served with crème and caramel that was light and fluffy.
I’ve lived in Ridgecrest my whole life and regret not going sooner!

I am French and I approve this restaurant .
The chicken was very well cooked, the sauce was really good too. The vegetable gratin and the gratin dauphinois was perfectly cooked.
We try also the profiteroles and that was spectacular.
Proportions are perfect and the team was friendly.

Really great food. It is expensive for Ridgecrest, but not for what you get.
I was worried it would be trying too hard to be fine dining, but it isn’t. It’s just great food and great service. Nothing overly pretentious.

A lot of people in Ridgecrest told me this was the best restaurant in town. After trying it I can totally agree! The food here is absolutely phenomenal and the owners are so lovely! The only thing I regret is living here for over a year before trying it! Absolutely a must visit! Reservation only so call ahead of time!

This was a huge disappointment for me and my husband. I’m half French and Asian. And my husband and I love the French cuisine. Unfortunately, we had learned never to go there before dinner. Their menu is more American, with Sandwiches with your basic side dishes like macaroni and French fries. And even though the atmosphere does have a familiar French touch with French music and a few decorative items to embellish a French theme. The food lacks the authenticity of the French delights of European and cultural French foods. As for their Dinner menu. This is also more Americanized than anything near authentic French. On a good note, their host/waiter does speak French and is very polite as he frolics from table to table. In conclusion, The Fries are French Fries! And this restaurant does give a nice French placebo effect, with the American Onion soup and your typical Creme Brulee.
