Hands down the best proper Thai I’ve had in PA. Visiting in Autumn 2024, I dined in at John’s Asian Cuisine. I was warmly greeted on arrival and seated in the dining area. I ordered Spring Rolls and Tom Ka soup to start, followed by Pad Thai as my main. I opted for the fried ice cream for dessert. Yes to it all – the service, the food. Highly recommend and would revisit. Reasonably priced ($30 pp with dessert).

♿ parking is just ok.
I have been here 4 times across 10 years as I’ve visited Danville. Great local restaurant for anyone passing through and regulars. Their food is delicious and the service is good. It would be nice to have something like a kids menu, but I understand as all kids are picky!
I had the Pa-Nang and my wife the chicken with black bean sauce. Everything is prepared well. Their ‘hot’ is manageable! The spring rolls were delicious.

We stopped here driving through Danville, and what a great surprise it was. The food was so fresh and delicious, and the green tea was very good. We ordered Spring Rolls, Bang Bang Shrimp, Spicy Crispy Chicken and Sweet Chilli Chicken and it was all wonderful. The breading on the chicken was light and Crispy, the rice had great flavor, and the sauces were superb.
All around great experience.

Service? Great. Food? Meh. We live in an area that has provided us an opportunity to experience a large variety of ethnic food. With that in mind, we may have different expectations, as the Pad Thai smelled strange, and the flavour was not appetizing. The Tom Yum soup was $6, and it almost felt like drinking warm water with lemongrass and chilies. The summer rolls’ dipping sauce was too sweet, and the rolls had noodles in them, although the menu did not list the vermicelli as an ingredient. The Singapore rice noodles were good, cooked with fresh vegetables, but they tasted bland. Although the service was excellent, we can not recommend this place to folks that are well versed in Thailand’s cuisine.

John’s Asian Cuisine in Danville, PA was a delightful find. It’s menu has simple Thai / Vietnamese food. We had the Thai Iced Tea which was cold and creamy. Then for appetizers we had the Summer Rolls, made fresh to order with herbs and delicious seasoned shrimp. The Tom Yam Soup with Chicken and the refreshing Shrimp Salad. We also got the Fried Wontons which had such an awesome seasoning. For our main course we orders the Singapore Rice Noodles with Chicken and the Masaman Curry with Chicken which was such a delight to eat. We would eat there again. The service was pleasant and courteous. The meals were delicious and affordable. A great choice that’s not your usual Chinese food.

Stopped at Johns for the first time and had a good expierence. Calamari appetizer was very good. Food came out shortly after and was all excellent. Presentation on the dessert was also surprisingly nice.

John’s Asian is an awesome lower-cost alternative to a full-scale hibachi dinner. He has hibachi and Thai food for the lowest prices in the Bloomsburg-Danville area, but he doesn’t skimp on quality. All the food I’ve ever had here has been delicious, including hibachi salmon, Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, fried rice, green curry, fried tofu, gyoza, and chicken satay. The service is always pleasant and fast.
Update 11/23: John’s now serves steamed pork buns as an appetizer and they are delicious!

First time visiting, and I was quite impressed. I enjoy Thai cuisine, and theirs is excellent. I had hot tea, summer rolls, and the lunch Panang Curry. The spice levels were perfect. I will definitely be back again.
