I visited Quarter Acre on Friday night. The decor is tasteful and restrained. They need to work on music – it was all over the place. I had a 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The service was excellent both by the waiting staff and the sommelier. Wine choices were good, especially Pinot Gris and chardonnays. Overall experience was pleasant but there were a few tweaks I felt were warranted in the dishes to be truly future Michelin star ready. The puff pastry amuse bouche was a bit too big for one bite and with a cream filling made for an awkward bite. Tuna tartare needed a crunchy element to improve texture, it was too soft on soft with tuna and pomelo. The fois gras was good, but serving it with deep fried brioche was probably not a good idea, in my opinion – it was too much of heavy on heavy. I actually enjoyed it more with the toasted bread that was served earlier. The eggplant dish was overpowered by mint leaves and huge rice crackers. The grouper was a tad over for my taste but the smoky black sauce was truly amazing in combination with veloute. The venison dish was perfect in every way.
I think Quarter Acre is a great addition to the Dallas culinary scene. I’m looking forward to coming back soon for another try of the tasting menu.

5 star experience. Relatively small place, limited # of tables. Highly recommend reservations. Parking can be challenging but typical for places on Greenville. Staff was awesome. Informative but not pushy. For instance they offer some unique cocktails on the menu, but I just wanted a standard old fashioned, no problem. Food was as advertised, gourmet, presented well and tasted wonderful. There were 5 of us and we all enjoyed it. Looking forward to my next experience here

This is our favorite restaurant in Dallas. The food is impeccably fresh and creative. The service is always attentive and manager, Michael, is very friendly. The valet in front of the restaurant makes it easy to not deal with Greenville Ave parking. With a recent visit to Mr. Charles, Quarter Acre, stood out with service, ambience, and menu creativity. I would recommend some different cocktails but that’s the only suggestion for this beautiful restaurant perfect for a date night. The salmon dish never disappoints and my fiancé loved his venison at our last visit.

I chose Quarter Acre based off of the reviews I read, as well as some of the pictures of the food. I was not disappointed! The service was stellar, the food was beautiful to look at and expertly prepared. It’s very innovative which I appreciated with so many other restaurants in Dallas that don’t take the time to create new dishes, much less do them in a delicious and thoughtful way. I will definitely go back! Great cocktails, too!

I had a fantastic experience at Quarter Acre. I did the tasting menu with wine pairing. Both offer great value and variety, incorporating 7 dishes from the a la carte menu (plus bread & butter and some small cookies at the end) + a diversity of wines from New Zealand and Australia that complement the courses well.
Each course provided thoughtful & creative temperatures, textures, flavor balances, ingredients, and influences from the Chef’s upbringing in NZ + global travels. Standouts to me include the beef tartare and the ‘Similar to a PAVLOVA’ dessert, although all courses were exceptional.
Service was friendly and attentive. Courses were explained with detail, as were the wines. Pacing was appropriate, silverware replaced rapidly. The restaurant is smaller and intimate, with enough space in-between tables to be comfortable but not cramped, unlike some restaurants in the city where everything is so close and cramped that it feels like it’s one big shared group table.
This restaurant had been on my radar for a while having travelled to Australia + several parts of New Zealand + having an interest in the ever-developing culinary scene in Dallas, especially with the Michelin guide finally making it to TX.
I would highly recommend, and in particular the tasting menu as I think it provides the best value (I did the rough math compared to ordering each dish a la carte and I think it works in your favor) and diversity and it’s the recommended approach from the chef.
A very small detail / suggestion would be to serve Three Bays water (still/sparkling) instead of Acqua Panna to further solidify the NZ / AU theme / influences (in particular as it relates to the wine / drink menu). It is considered one of the best waters in the world, having consistently won the highest accolades from ‘the fine water society’, and can be obtained at Central Market these days (or from Salacious Drinks online).

I’ll just say it… best dinner in Dallas. There, I said it. Chef’s from New Zealand, so the menu is eclectic in a way that actually works. Neutral-chic vibes, calm but cool. This place is begging to be a tapas spot and we basically treated it as one. Ceviche, Octopus, Smoked salmon – Actually witchcraft – the best salmon I’ve ever had. Did you hear me? Do you have any idea how much salmon I’ve eaten? #stlouispescatarianapproved Keep going… Leafy green salad, ricotta tomato spread! Everything devoured, nothing spared. Service was flawless. I would evangelize for this place. And the lolly bag. Warm my heart.

Great place! Decent amount of vegetarian option. LOVE the pumpkin appetizer. The sauce was amazing. Potato gnocchi just melts in your mouth. Good drinks. Eggplant entree was good too, but would probably get the other options over this.
Really good dessert too. Highly recommend!

We placed our palates in the hands of the chef with the tasting menu and enjoyed every bite. Magnificent; struck a near-perfect balance between simple and sophisticated. The flavors were amplified but true.

Impeccable and above reproach in every regard. I would have liked to do the tasting menu, but my dinner company was not hungry and we were treated to a great experience a la carte as well. Jacob, the beverage director was there and made a great wine recommendation as well as a sensational dessert wine that I would never have thought of. The thematic element of AU/NZ inspired by the chef’s heritage from New Zealand translates to the food and beverage. Can’t wait to come back for the tasting menu. Cheers and every success the to the team at QA !
