Bagelicious Bagels of Cheshire is the kind of morning stop that quietly resets your expectations for what a real bagel should be. No gimmicks, no overthinking—just craftsmanship, consistency, and an obvious respect for tradition.
This morning’s order was straightforward: cinnamon bagels, blueberry bagels, and two Asiago bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches. Every single item delivered. The bagels struck that elusive balance—properly chewy with a confident crust, tender inside, and substantial enough to feel earned. These are not airy imposters; they have weight, structure, and character.
The cinnamon and blueberry bagels were fragrant and balanced, not overly sweet, allowing the dough itself to remain the star. Paired with the berry spread—bright, fresh, and generously applied—it was one of those quiet breakfast moments where conversation pauses because chewing takes priority.
The Asiago bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches were exceptional. Savory, indulgent without being sloppy, and anchored by a bagel sturdy enough to hold its dignity to the final bite. This is breakfast meant to carry a man through the morning, not merely entertain him for a moment.
One should note—arrive early. Bagelicious operates the old, respectable way: when they run out, they run out. There’s no endless reheating or late-morning compromise. The shelves empty because people know what’s good, and because freshness still matters here. A gentleman plans accordingly and is rewarded for it.
Perhaps the highest compliment: these bagels are worth traveling with. The intention to take some back to Kansas says everything that needs to be said. Few foods earn space in a carry-on; fewer still earn loyalty across state lines.

As a CT local, I can honestly say Bagelicious is worth the trip. The bagels are perfectly crisp outside, soft and chewy inside, and always fresh. Friendly staff, great coffee, and that classic small-town vibe make it one of my favorite breakfast spots in the state.

First time here, stopped in Saturday morning around 10am… the line was almost out the door (not for a good reason), from the time I entered to the time I left… 38mins… yes, that’s not a typo… 38mins, I stopped here because Shef’s Bagels was already closed, it took almost 20mins to get to the front of the line, staff is all over the place, slow is putting it gently… finally we ordered just a bagle w/ cream cheese, and a BEC, waiting another 10mins for the order, order finally comes out, then waited another 6-8mins just to pay like I said before, first time… and definitely last time… I thought I was on a episode of Punk’d ♂️ oh and the place is a complete dump, ceiling tiles missing, ladders just sitting out, signs are written with torn paper and randomly taped around, I’m not sure in this place can pass an OSHA inspection

Super disappointed with our service at Bagelicious this morning. We ordered two bagels, one came out within 5 minutes. The other came out over 25 minutes later, no one addressed it, no sorry for the inconvenience, the employee threw the bagel on the counter, starred down my fiancé and I and left. Mind you, I understand how stressful food service can be, but they prioritized a call in order and had multiple other people waiting 25+ minutes. It was not busy in the store either.

Was disappointed in my experience this morning! I was looking forward to getting a bagel and orange juice. I asked for my bagel to be toasted but it wasn’t and the service was lacking! I don’t see myself ever going again!

What a disappointing experience I had a bagelicious today. I honestly will not be back to waste anymore of my money. I ordered a wrap from the menu section that said wraps (but once I got up to the register they charge $2 more for a wrap? How does that even make sense?) I got the chicken cutlet which was mushy and tasted gross. Chicken cutlet should be breaded and crispy? What a waste of over $11 dollars for this wrap

The bagels are great however you have to get there very early, before 10-11 am, if you want to get bagels. That’s the reason for my 3 rating.

says they close at 2 but the lazy workers want to close it 30 mins early so they can go home quicker. sucks that people hate working these days. if you advertise closing at 2 dont have the doors locked at 1:30
