This is a very, very tasty Chinese restaurant. The food selection is excellent, and the tapas-style plates are the way to go—smaller portions, better variety, and easier on the wallet than committing to one big dish. That said, the larger plates are totally worth it if there’s something you really, really love.

Everything we tried was super delicious—from the Mongolian Beef to the Spicy Dry-Fried Bamboo Fish to the Signature Pork Soup Dumplings. Honestly, this was just really good food, start to finish.

The AYCE Brunch ($32 per person) is absolutely the move, especially if you’re dining with friends and want to sample a little of everything.

The hostess was great too—friendly and super helpful in explaining how everything worked.

I would have taken more pictures, but… I got excited and started eating

I’m on a mission to try all of Peter Chang’s restaurants and my most recent trip brought me to this location. I got there right as they opened and was promptly greeted and seated. Soon after, Tanya came to greet and take care of my table. I asked her some questions about the menu and gave her some flavor ideas I was interested in and she made some suggestions based on that.

I ended up trying their Fragrant Spicy Diced Beef and their Spicy Chicken with Mixed Pepper and Basil. I also found out they offered Garlic Cucumber and I had to get a side of that. To start, I asked for a pot of Jasmine Tea.

The tea was great, as usual! The Garlic Cucumber was incredibly tasty! Many times cucumbers that are flavored are somewhat bland after you bite into them, but these were done perfectly and very flavorful! I took bites of some throughout my dining experience and loved each bite!

The star of my lunch was the Spicy Chicken with Mixed Pepper and Basil, which was excellent! It offered a very nice spice level and lots of great flavor! One of my favorite dishes at most all Peter Chang restaurants is the Spicy Chicken with Onions and Peppers and this was the closest to that offered at this location and I have to say that I loved the touch of basil! This is also a slightly wet, but not saucy dish, whereas the dish I love is a dry-wok’d dish – Both are great though!

The Fragrant Spicy Diced Beef was very nice, but I wasn’t a fan of the potatoes in them. I have had Szechuan dishes with potatoes (one of my favorite Szechuan places in Dale City does a chicken & potato dish which is outstanding!). Their potatoes were on the rubbery side and not very flavorful. But the chunks of beef were amazing! I love dry-wok’d dishes like this and the spice and pepper mix were incredible too!

I absolutely enjoyed this visit and definitely enjoyed the AMAZING service provided by Tanya! I’ll come back and specifically ask for her next time, as I’d love to see what else she would recommend that I try! As for the venue, it’s beautiful. Very nicely decorated and comfy. It’s quite large with some huge round tables with a spinning (lazy Susan) center for sharing with a large group. Definitely a nice place to bring a larger group.

I can’t wait to return!

So this is an Uber Eats Review and my first time trying Peter’s Herndon VA restaurant. The food was very good, but the portions for the price for delivery are a bit small. I would definitely recommend as the flavor was good, a good mix of real flavor vs. a heavy reliance on sauces for a lot of their dishes. Happy New Year 2026 and enjoy!

Service – It is slow. We ordered drinks, appetizers, small plates and main course all at the same time. dishes came between 15min to 40+ mins. Waiters are running around, need more staff Friday evenings.
vegetarian/vegan dish has oyster sauce. they replaced it, took longer.
Dan Dan noodles is okay, ask for chilly oil on the side. Other person said Mongolian chicken was good.
Dragon eggplant was good but oily.
Tea was good.
Parking – very limited parking available. There is a fresh world grocery store next door. with dashers and others navigating to get to the parking lot is tough.
Inside the decor is nice.

Good place, I recommend it. Peking Duck was very good. Shrimp dishes were also especially good. More modern than traditional, good or bad on this is a matter of opinion.

What an incredible find! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the amazing dim sum selections, the first-class service, and the welcoming atmosphere that made the entire experience unforgettable. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, and you can tell the team truly takes pride in what they do.

As someone who’s notoriously finicky about where I dine, I can honestly say this place exceeded every expectation — and that’s saying something! The staff were attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between relaxed and refined, and every element came together seamlessly.

This hidden gem absolutely deserves a big shoutout. Two enthusiastic thumbs up from this picky diner — I can’t wait to come back!

(And no — not PF Chang’s.)

We arrived just as the all-you-can-eat buffet was ending, and even with 20 minutes to spare, it was off the table. Shame.

This is not your typical Americanised Chinese food. It’s more authentic, more refined — apparently Peter Chang was a head chef for someone important back in the day.

I went for popcorn chicken and shredded chicken lettuce wraps. Brian and John had dim sum and a Mongolian beef-style dish.
The food was flavoursome, freshly prepared, and came out quickly — though I’d say some dishes felt a bit overpriced.

Service, however, was… robotic.
Very much computer says no. No warmth, no engagement, no sense that tips or customer experience mattered. Food plonked down. Job done. Honestly, an AI could’ve delivered the same vibe.

The restaurant itself wasn’t busy — possibly because of the service — but takeaway was buzzing, so it’s clearly popular.

Food = good.
Service = painfully indifferent.
Price = a little high.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 out of 5 stars.

I came for the brunch menu. The food was quite average nothing special for the price. The biggest disappointment was the soup dumplings (usually it’s my favorite dish) but the taste was strange like the quality of the meat used wasn’t the best.
I do not recommend ordering soup dumplings. Other brunch dishes were okay but nothing really special or particularly good.

I went here with a friend on Sunday for some AYCE Dim Sum, and was surprised at how good everything tasted. Went right at opening (11AM) and there was a decent amount of people, but didn’t have to wait for a table.

The Food: The food was fantastic. All the dim sum dishes we had were cooked perfectly. Full of flavor and came out pretty fast. The highlight of the day was definitely the Pork and Shrimp Shumai. Honestly one of the most tender Shumai’s I’ve had so far in this area. Some honorable mentions: Crystal shrimp dumping, soup dumplings, Taiwanese popcorn shrimp and hot chili oil wontons!

The Atmosphere: The restaurant is decorated very nicely. Modern, great colors and just well spaced out. Also, just very clean.

The Service: Service was good for how busy the place was. For a Sunday morning that serves AYCE Dim Sum, it’s a little expected for service to be a little slower than usual. But no complaints at all.

Overall, a 5/5! Would highly recommend coming here for dim sum or even just trying their other entrees. I’ll be frequenting this place a a lot more.
