I’ve lived in Charlotte for 5 years, and I’ve had decent pizza! But it’s hard to come across wood fire pizza. My boyfriend loves wood fire and I thought hey, let’s give them a try!
This is what we got… pretty self explanatory. BURT TO A CRISP, HARD AS A ROCK!

Good oven fired pizzas. We’ve tried the Honey Pie, New Yorker & Cal Italia. Normally we order from the food truck, but this was my first time to the restaurant. Service has always been friendly and pizzas are made quickly. Today it was ready in about 10 min despite me ordering during a rush. Perfect for a quick lunch across from the Convention Center. On the pricier side for a 10″ pizza. especially when ordering for a family.

Amazing pizzas. When you read the menu, you think you know what you want until you read the next one. Then the next one. It’s considerably difficult to choose one. Every one we had was so good. Salads were very large. Super friendly staff. Great place to pop in.

We were trying to go to the sandwich place next door but luckily it was closed or we wouldnt have found this great pizza. Wife and I got a small Hawaiian and small New Yorker pizza. Absolutely outstanding pizza if you enjoy a very crispy thin crust like we do. Leftovers taste just as good the next day just losses the crunch. Definitely looking forward to next trip to the area.

The King of Fire exceeded my expectations! Located right in Uptown Charlotte, the spot is in a perfect location. The ambiance is casual and welcoming—great for both groups and solo diners, with a few outdoor seating options as well.
The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered the meat lover style pizza along with a side salad. Heads up, the side salad is huge and definitely sharable! The pizza itself was excellent—lots of flavor from the meats and a perfectly baked soft crust.
Overall, this place was a hit during my visit to Charlotte. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving quality pizza!

we got the new yorker subbed the sausage for bacon. The crust is absolutely perfection thin and chewy & the ricotta added the perfect creamy texture!!

They have standrad pizza options and normally when there are many orders you need to wait. The dough and ingredients are fresh. But being a wood fored pizza, the crusts are normally burnt out. And its drier than other comparatively similar wood fired pizza options. The portion sizes are enough for a person and they sell sauce on the side of you prefer that option.

We had their pizza truck/oven come cater a wedding in Hendersonville and absolutely loved it. Having the pizza and appetizers cooked on site added another level to the overall experience. The pizza was light, fresh and tasted great. The service could not have been better. I highly recommend this group for your next event.

We have a new gluten-free option in Uptown Charlotte! King of Fire Pizza imports their gluten-free flour from Italy and make their gluten-free crust before regular flour is ever even in the kitchen! When a gluten-free pizza is ordered the make line is cleared, all gloves are changed and clean utensils are used. My sister and I definitely felt safe eating here! They also have vegan cheese for those that are dairy free!
