From the outside there looks like there isn’t much going on here, but there is. Great family owned and run place to go for BBQ. The service was fast and very friendly. They even ask how fatty would you like your cut of brisket. The place didn’t look packed or busy but after our group sat down we noticed something. One by one people came in grabbed food and left. Very few stayed to eat but many came in and out the doors.
We were a group of six and I think we got everything thing on the menu between us. There was no complaints from anyone. Some couldn’t even finish all the food they had. We wish we had more time to go back and hit this little shop again.
Well the guy there said he was the third generation owner in the family and they had been there over 40 years. What ever they are doing works and I can see why. Good food and good service has paid off well.

Old school joint off the highway with solid brisket and some really nice folks behind the counter. Tried the brisket, berry cobbler, and some boudain (which was my first time).
Brisket was nearly perfect, and I definitely enjoyed the cobbler. I think the cobbler would have been tastier if they had an option to warm it up, but it wasn’t mentioned.
Boudain, being my first time, wasn’t my thing. Texture was not what I was expecting. It might be the best on Earth, but I wouldn’t know , so no penalty there.

From out of town visiting from Louisiana. The Owner was rude rushing me, wanting to know what I wanted. Idfk give me a minute. The Potato Salad wasn’t Potato Salad it was mashed potatoes. Lmao! Way to much sauce on the meat almost like they were trying to cover up something. It was ok… Not great!! Not memorable!! The place was old & run down.

If you are driving through Orange you have to stop!! So convenient for getting off and on I-10. Texas BBQ is my favorite and this is probably the best I’ve had.

Best BBQ in Texas. My daughter has cancer and is in Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. After she got out if one of her surgeries all she wanted was some good ol marbled sliced beef. The best anywhere. The people are friendly and will treat you like family. Go show your support for a business that has been open over 40 years with the same owner and recipes. You will never get anything better!!
