Fantastic experience at Osteria! We were there for All-State Band. Drew, the owner, greeted the kids at the door, made them feel welcome right away, and took time to chat with them.
Service was outstanding. Kaitlyn was attentive and clearly well-trained in all points of service, and Sebastion was excellent as well. That level of professionalism really stood out.
Food was amazing and everyone loved their meals. I have food allergies and they were very accommodating in helping me find something that worked (Best shrimp ever!)

My mom and I came to Athens, Ga for the Alabama vs. Georgia game and we had to eat here. The owner of Osteria Athena, was so welcoming and kind to us even though we’re Bama fans! We ordered the Bruschetta al funghi, a caesare salad, Pollo al Marsala, and the Pollo Alla francese. The bruschetta is too die for…the best I’ve ever had. Both of the chicken dishes were flavorful and the chicken was oh so tender…PERFECTION Osteria Athena has an amazing wine selection and the espresso martini’s 10/10. We will definitely be back. Please, please, please put an Osteria Athena in T-town!!!! Oh and one more thing ROLLLLL TIDE ROLLLLL!!!!!

The best Italian food in Athens I’ve had, no question. The ambiance is awesome, very true to other ‘fine-dining’ type places in Athens, definitely a step up from your average burger joint but not so fancy it makes you feel underdressed in a polo and shorts. Our server, Noah, was great, and who I’m assuming was the owner was also there, checking in a few times throughout the meal to see how everything was. We started with the caprese salad, which was delicious, not too much pizzazz, just good mozz, fresh tomatoes and basil. For our entrees, I had the crab and shrimp pasta, and my partner had the caserecce alla campagna (ribbon pasta with italian sausage). It was excellent! Pasta was great, the shrimp was nice and plump, and the crab really shined through the whole dish. Same with my partners, great flavors, good portions, everything you could ask for. And the whole damn meal was cooked up by one guy! We were blown away. The tiramisu was just the icing on top, super delicious and creamy. Safe to say we’ll be back, and I’ll be recommending this til my face turns blue.

I almost never write reviews but I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, particularly with our server, Chole. After dining here, I noticed that an additional tip had been added to my bill even though gratuity had already been automatically included on the original check. This is all after we waited an hour and a half for cold bland food and nothing was said and we were the third table sat for the night.
When I spoke with a manager, he provided a copy of “my” receipt showing an added tip and a signature. However, the signature was not mine. An additional tip was added without my authorization, and my signature was forged. This is not just unprofessional, it is fraudulent.
When I contacted the restaurant to address the issue, it was not handled promptly. After finally getting in contact with the owner, Andrew, he was dismissive and rude rather than helpful and concerned. There was no accountability taken and no real effort made to resolve the situation. I am still after 5 days waiting to hear back from him after already waiting 2 days to get in contact with him in the first place.
I strongly caution others to carefully review their receipts if they choose to dine here or have dined here recently.

Our best meal in Athens! Osteria Athena truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The owner was incredibly friendly and took the time to recommend the perfect dishes for our table. Every bite was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
A special shoutout to our server, Sebastian, who was so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The combination of great food, wonderful service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for an unforgettable dining experience. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Athens!

This place was wonderful! I think this is the first time in my life I purposely ordered mushrooms and enjoyed them. Everything was delicious and the servers were great. I think my only complaint were the tablecloths, the plaid/gingham design on the plastic did a little bit make me feel like I was in a early 2000’s pizza place instead of a nice, modern Italian restaurant.

From starts the restaurant is understaffed. It took a while to start the order. The food was good. Drinks finally came 30 minutes later…
When the bill came I noticed a 25 additional charge already applied which I assumed was the tip. Also the bill came suggesting additional tip which I didn’t like.
It’s a shame because we like to support local restaurants but the thing with the tip was very disappointing as we felt deceived with this hidden charge.

Drew (the owner) is very personable and a plant customer of ours. That’s how we originally met him. We’ve been here a few times and LOVE the food, the wine, and the atmosphere. Getting to chat with Drew is an added bonus

Kind of fell into this one. We didn’t have a reservation, but they fit us at the bar. Another couple recommended the salmon, so do I. My wife had the marsala and said it was the best she’s had. The meatballs reminded her of her grandmother’s. You won’t be disappointed with this gem.
