The Little Notch Bakery and Café, in the quaint little town of Southwest Harbor, Maine, was a delightful morning stop. During our first visit of our Acadia National Park vacation we purchased scones, muffins, and little fruit tarts. Our first visit purchases were so fresh and tasty we went back and purchased two-large blueberry tarts, a large apple tart, and a large raspberry tart. My favorite bakery item was the large raspberry tart, quickly followed by a large blueberry tart. We had a lovely conversation with the shop keepers and were told they only use Maine blueberries. We enjoyed our visits! ❤️

Clutch pizza spot. Not the best pizza ever but pretty good for acadia. Their blueberry pies are the best in class though.
We ate it at the nearby butterfly park and it was amazing experience.

We stopped here for a sweet treat after a long day at Acadia. Oh my goodness, the blueberry tart was so delicious! There was some wonderful outdoor seating where we were able to enjoy our dessert. They had many other delicious looking sweets/baked goods we were tempted to try. I’d highly recommend this spot!
Update: we came back a few days later for the pizza. So yummy!!!

After bussing it up in Bar Harbor I decided to go to this quaint little bakery. The employees were very nice with the atmosphere being inviting. The bakery treats were not to my liking and a bit overpriced but I mainly came for the pizza. I smelled it from down the street and I reminded me of my Nona’s kitchen talents. However despite the pizza’s delicious smell and good crust, it was not good at all. Too flacid, unflavorful, and seemingly undercooked I would not recommend.

We visited Little Notch Bakery three times during the four times we were in Southwest Harbor. We loved the chocolate chip shortbread, blueberry pie, and raspberry pie. The blueberry was more sweet than the raspberry, both are filled with fruit! They have some fun grocery items and pizzas was well. Everyone working was so kind and helpful – especially Sam!! Thank you Little Notch!! Edit: We went back one more time for sandwiches before heading to the airport. So good!!

Definitely bring a raisin walnut loaf for home. If available get an olive French baguette. As an update coming back after three years. It’s still a great place to eat pizza because they have some awesome dough as well as dessert. I highly recommend ordering the blueberry tart and eating their pizza and salad. Of course take a cookie or two for later. I highly recommend getting the cranberry oatmeal cookie.

Pizza was so good…could not get a picture before some slices disappeared! This is light pizza that has toppings with great flavor. Loved the sun dried tomato. The pizza crust was sooo good! Some of the best I’ve had. You can tell they take pride in using high quality pizza dough. The crust reminded me a bit of sourdough bread…I loved it!

Picked up a fresh blubbery pie to eat at our cabin after dinner. It was delicious!!! Parked right in front of the bakery in the street. Was in and out in less than five minutes. Staff was very friendly!

My husband and I decided to grab brunch at this bakery. . There are not many menu items but we decided to try out their sandwiches and they were awesome!
My husband tried the sausage and pepper sandwich . I decided to try their chicken faccino sandwich . We enjoyed every minute of it . The sandwich do not come with a side . However they are large enough where you wouldn’t need one .
Definitely a great place to enjoy a quick bite in downtown southwest Bar Harbor

We stopped by yesterday and it was open. Two sweet ladies welcomed us! Their blueberry scone was so fresh, soft as well as their chocolate peanut butter cookies! Bombastic! It made our evening when we came back to our cabin and had these pastries with a cup of tea! Should’ve gotten more! Thank you!!!
