Brothers is a wonderful family-owned restaurant that has been around for decades. It is nestled in the heart of Sandwich, Illinois right on route 34. I’ve been coming to Brother’s since 1989 and it has always been a place to meet up with friends and family and just have a good meal. The beef roll is definitely the shining star of this establishment! Brother’s is the home of the original Beef Roll. Today, after almost 10 years, my husband and I drove over a thousand miles to eat one of the Brother’s original beef rolls. Just as I expected, the beed roll was as delicious as It ever was and it was great catching up with the owner! Being family owned, Brother’s always feels like home. Highly recommend 10 out of 10!

when i see the reviews of this place. i think that people don’t really give this place a chance. brothers has been around for over 50 years and it’s atmosphere really feels like you’re not going to your average sit down restaurant. the second you walk in brothers you can really feel the history the place has. it’s uniqueness really sets a different vibe that most restaurants fail to do. with their famous motto “home of the beef roll”, you most certainly have to check that off your bucket list. their beef roll is so big and fulfilling that it can leave you leftovers forever! not to mention, they have all sorts of variations of their beef rolls tailored to all around the world! and if you’re not interested in their beef rolls, they have remarkable pizzas, burgers and many more! so if you’re ever looking for a fun time out: brothers is more than likely to fulfill your night.

Traveling through Sandwich, we saw the sign “home of the beef roll”.. if a restaurant is the home of something, you got to try it..
Definitely worth the stop. A fantastic beef sandwich, fresh homemade bread. Try it with some of the homemade tzatziki sauce too.
Everything was yum, service was great, very attentive. Even learned a little history of the place.
Stop here, it’s worth it!

We stopped in while we were looking for a diner to try. The signage “Home Of The Beef Roll” pulled us in. This place is a quaint hidden gem. It is TRULY family owned,Dad, Mom, and 4 kids (adult’ish) running the entire place! The Beef Roll is DELICIOUS, my son loved his Gyros Roll, my grandson at almost all of his pizza off the kids menu and an order of fries, the Goofy Bread (calzone) was a typical.
There are countless ways to order a “roll” because he will make them to your specific likes! We WILL be visiting again when in the area.

If I could give zero stars I would…. My husband and I used to love this place, but when we ordered our food tonight they messed up our order… They put everything on my husband’s beef roll which I ordered his with just meat and cheese as I always do because he has allergies, and they made both beef rolls with everything… When I called to have the order fixed, the owner stated that he would only remake the beef roll, and that’s it.. my husband demanded our money back and he said he would reimburse our visa card, but we paid cash.. When we went back with the food to get reimbursed he shorted us over $10… I went back in to confront him and he was making excuses of why he only gave us that amount… Then told his daughter to call the cops… My husband could’ve died if he ate that beef roll…. His wife then came out the kitchen and told him to make it right…. He definitely just lost at least two loyal customers…

I have been going to Brother’s for over 40 years and it’s upsetting to see the lack of support for a local business that has been a staple in this community for over 50 years. We ordered beef rolls and they were as good as they always have been. I had good conversation with the owner when picking my order up. If you are an old customer, continue supporting them and if you are new to the are give them a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I ordered 1 beef roll and two turkeys rolls. Spent $50. The beef roll literally had 4 small pieces of beef in it. . I pretty much spent $13 on a pita brread. Never going back here. There was no meat on it.
The turkey rolls were the same way.
Waste of money!!!!!! Very disappointed.
