The food was good, but I wish the waffles were hotter. It wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter and the icing on the red velvet one even started solidifying. EVERYTHING else was on point though. The chicken fresh and full of flavor, sweet tea was SWEET, and my waitress was AMAZING! I plan to return to try some other items.

Finally got a chance to make it to the restaurant and I must say the restaurant is spacious and very clean. We went around lunch time where they do have a lunch special with great prices. We decided to get the regular chicken and waffles with a shrimp and grits app . The wait for the food was short and the food was fresh. My only complaint was the grits for the shrimp and grits . Everyone has their preference of how they like their grits and Im more of a creamy smooth consistency and theirs is more of a thick and grainy style but the gravy or sauce was good . They definitely brined that chicken because the flavor was to the bone. It’s more on the salty side but still very delicious. I would give a 4.5 rating and I definitely will be back. A big plus, the owner who’s a Kappa came out and spoke to everyone! He sets the bar high for other restaurants where you have no idea who’s in charge until you have a issue with your food.

Came here for a business meeting and the food was amazing. The host greeted us and from there everything went well, our food came out hot and fast. The Red Velvet Waffle and Chicken Wings is my go to dish with a side of Salmon Patties. My Partner had the Shrimp and Grits with a side of Salmon Patties as well. I recommend this place

Friday evening I had the pleasure of eating at Kiki’s Chicken and Waffles. It was a five star meal! We started with fried corn nuggets (it’s impossible to go wrong there but for some reason I’ve been in other restaurants and they’ve messed them up) that were served hot and fresh with the perfect amount of crisp on the outside. Then I had the star of the show, the fried chicken breast and waffle. The portions of the two breasts were huge and more than enough to keep the waffle to chicken ratio appropriate. Everything was hot and delicious and the chicken was so well seasoned. 10/10 highly recommend. My pics aren’t great because I was only thinking about chowing down!

I tried a bit of everything: shrimp and grits, bacon, fried fish, sausage, eggs. The chicken and waffles were the star of the show. I came for an event and the staff were very friendly. It’s black owned too!

The food was very good. Service was wonderful. I got the signature Kiki”s chicken and waffles. I upgraded my waffle to the pecan waffle. It was cooked perfectly. It was almost airy with the pecans still crunchy. I chose the boneless chicken breasts. They were seasoned just right. I also had the macaroni cheese bites. They were hot and melt in your mouth perfection. First time visiting but won’t be my last.

I almost wrote this place off. I have been a fan of Kiki’s for years but the last 2 times I visited the Columbia locations the food has been off. I was excited when they opened one in North Charleston but concerned that the food would not be good. I finally had the opportunity to visit and it did not disappoint. The food reminded me of when I was first introduced to Kiki’s on Two Notch. I was blown away and knew I would be a fan. The North Charleston location was clean, the server was friendly, the service was fast, and the food was GOOD! Those waffles are unmatched and the chicken is crispy and seasoned. I only got the half our of caution along with some grits, eggs, and sausage (something safe). It was a good experience and I will be back.

Overall, everything was delicious here! We were hesitant due to the recent reviews. However, we are glad we did. The restaurant is located in North Charleston. Definitely, get the fried chicken, red velvet cake waffle (I’ve tasted nothing like it), and the shrimp and grits. The smaller portion is enough, and the sausage is slightly spicy. Very delicious.
The atmosphere was enjoyable. There was a lot of space and room at the tables and around the restaurant. I wish there was more than one bathroom stall.
The only four star I would give it to the service . We had a rather large table. I wish they would have been more attentive to refilling the drinks at the table. The waiter and waitresses were pleasant, though.
I’ll come back every time I’m in Charleston.
