I heard the Star Burger returned to the Star Bar and last night I finally got to taste what generations of Puebloans have shared with me in their storytelling. WOW. I had a triple and added Pueblo Chile and bacon. WOW. I also had the fresh cut fries. WOW. Need I say more. And so affordable. The steak knife down the center was brilliant. Add a schooner and you are all set. I live in the Grove so will be shaking up my routine and walking a block to the Star Bar regularly for a complete meal. Cash only. ATM on premises. Update: New cook is making killer Star Burgers in the dive bar tradition. Delicious…though I miss the dagger steak knife. GH

Great place to hang out and not be bothered. Service is as expected and very friendly. They have a pool table out back and I never have to wait to use it. I hope they open the kitchen again soon so I can try their famous star burger (i hear so much about) I would definitely recommend having a afternoon beer here to unwind. And the patrons are Very welcoming to new people.

Went here to try their slopper….Saturday day bartender was on her cell phone when I ordered a beer. She gave me change for a five (paid w/ a ten) …never said thankyou or asked if I wanted to order food. Tipped her a buck and left ASAP.

The first time me n my friend went at about noon, had the cheeseburger and they were really good and so was the service, told my son how so we there today nov. 18, at around 5 pm. The server was friendly but it took 30 minutes to get our burgers and when the cook brought them out mine was a cheeseburger asked for it plain put everything on it, the burger was so small and dry, my son had the slopper also very small and dry. The fries were good tho. It was a lady that made them, first time it was a guy. We wnt be going back.

The Star Bar was one of the local places I was taken to when I first moved to Pueblo in 1983. My wife grew up across the street. Their Star Burger is in my humble opinion the best in town.
