Smothered pork chops fallin off the bone perfect! Mac n cheese is amazing. Yummy sweet potato pie! I love the blend of spices in it. They were just right – not overpowering. Their meals come with cornbread & two sides. I’ll be back!

Had the side sampler – 3 sides and a piece of corn bread. IMHO – everything lacked flavor / seasoning. The Mac is baked, and a bit on the dry side, I was hoping for a fantastic bite of Mac and Cheese. Really lacking on the texture and flavor I was seeking. The Collard greens were a step in the right direction, obviously homemade, but again really lacking a depth of flavor ( was hoping for that ‘tang’ but it wasn’t there) a dash of hot sauce and / or vinegar would have helped. The beans were really sweet – really depending on sugar for flavor.. pretty good though. The cabbage was also heavily dependent on sugar..
Portions are good and the price was fair.
I’m looking forward to trying the main entrees at a later date ( Ribs and Oxtails as well as smothered pork chops – are available, as well as catfish)

They are working on a carryout menu .. really need a published menu with prices .

Marcie you went above and beyond for are little party for KP. You’ll never know how much it was appreciated. The food was fabulous! Service was great! Your people are fantastic. I had the smothered pork chops with the stuffed beans and candied yams so good. I highly recommend it. But the catfish and ribs were also highly praised at our table!, you know we’ll be back! A great new place to host the speaker.☺️☺️

Very welcoming and friendly!! Food was all very good, catfish was fried to perfection and pork chops soooo tender! Pineapple upside down cake and banana pudding were on point as well! We’ll definitely be back!
