Went here today for lunch and got the buffet. Everything was so good! My favorite was the jalapeño paneer was so delicious. The lamb was also very tender and delicious. The buffet included naan (regular or butter) and a refreshing drink, and todays milk tea. I was so full i didnt get to try dessert but i will next time. They also do catering and doordash or uber eats.

Nice staff and clean ambience.

The food was not quite Indian we are used to. Ok, we are kinda spoiled by Chicago Devon. First off, they didn’t have the mulligatawny soup , shame , they also didn’t have lamb chops. Aiii

So we opted for butter chicken and lamb sheik . Well the lamb sheik seemed like the frozen meats stir fried with some cabbage. Ahhh, I know because I buy them…

The butter chicken was just a creamy blob . Quite disappointing for us.

The garlic nan was thin albeit tasty. However, it tasted just like the frozen ones I buy

The apricot dessert was delightful for amthe after meal.

So moral of story is, for a chain, it needs a blockbuster item (think Panda and its orange) and keep the list of offerings short but do it well. I don’t think we are looking for authenticity in the middle of Indiana but it is gotta taste good.

My wife loves Indian food and I generally go along for the ride. However, my wife and I were both pleasantly surprised when we visited this establishment for lunch today. It occupies the former Le Peep restaurant space on Whitestown Parkway. We tried the buffet and everything was good. The vegetarian items were greatly appreciated. We could tell the food items were all freshly made as advertised. Leema was a great host, explained the dishes well, and was very attentive without being intrusive. We will be back – me for the ride and the good food.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Indiana! The food is incredible, and the staff and team are so friendly and welcoming. Also the atmosphere is amazing, including the live Indian music and decorations. It actually feels like I am in India! Definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food and wants to experience Indian culture and aesthetics beyond just the cuisine.

Its supposed to be fine dining but I dont see it. Welcomed by a lovely lady Rima, who explained to us about the buffet even before seating us or offering water. It was a buffet, no goat meat. That’s on the weekends only. Wasn’t very busy. The buffet looked good but the food was cold. Sambhar was salty and idli was kinda tough. Haan was served fresh and hot on the table…the saving grace along with Andhra chicken. They do serve beers in the daytime and have full bar service for evening a la carte. Place is well lut and clean. Decor is decent. I would love to check out the dinner service and food. Not giving up yet…besides its a new place so I guess training wheels. Another update later.

Desi Chowrastha exceeded our expectations! After a long, exhausting day at work, we wanted something quick and delicious and they delivered much more. The food was absolutely excellent, and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped us with our order, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

Everything was better than we hoped for. 10/10 we’ll definitely be back for both the amazing food and outstanding service!

I recently visited for the lunch buffet. The selection was very limited, and several items were not refilled once they were empty. Considering that the pricing is among the highest compared to other restaurants in Indiana, I expected better variety and service. The food quality was average. Overall, the experience did not match the price.
