I have some concerns about the food quality here since getting food poisoning when a man brought me a burrito from here last year (2022) to my home. There are also concerns about spotty internet access and dropped calls on cell phones (I have noticed this as well when visiting the campus). I also heard about theft of personal paperwork and computer accessories necessary for securing childcare assistance and financial aid from some students and parents, causing disruptions to the students’ lives and their families’ lives. It also seems food products were allowed to be stored in unsafe conditions, as well as put into containers without gloves, a violation of health codes reported to the campus security, as well as Concord and Merrimack County food safety authorities by students, staff, and campus visitors. Personally, I had a better experience in the past, as my former employees from Market Basket brought good service practices to their work here while also attending as students. Recent complaints are especially concerning as I spoke with some students tonight who had originally reported these types of issues to me as a law enforcement professional and advocate in the area. My understanding is that updates to computer technology necessary to secure areas on campus have been delayed by poor budget planning practices. I also noticed poor cell phone signal, which is a longterm issue due to lack of proper insulation around equipment in the scientific research areas, dating back to when I lived directly in Concord.

I believe the first thing I have to mention is.. this is a community college bistro. You shouldn’t expect too much from it in the first place. That being said, it’s pretty much what you’d expect.. including the slightly unclean tables, the slightly to moderately overcooked food. But one thing I can say, is that the staff’s general attitude is that of college students primarily working a work study. They don’t want to be there, but they have to. Maybe management can get them to want to work? Give them incentives, and personality? That’d be great.

Sandwich lacked taste and flavor. The worker lady was rude and the food tasted like a used baby wipe

The Bistro at NHTI is a great place to go if you’re getting tired of the same old cafeteria food.
It features several options like a Subway, a Pizza Oven, Fried Food, Burgers, Soups, and Breakfast Sandwiches. Alongside the meals there are several smaller options like salads, yogurt, granola, snacks, and drinks.
The dining areas are perfect for meeting up with lots of friends, and there’s a more secluded room off to the side for studying or club lunches!

Food is expensive for college kids, staff attitude is horrible. A 12oz redbull is $4.10, which is above gas station prices. Seating area is dirty. The bistro is known for making people sick.

Great Place to eat! Has great options including Subway, and burgers made to order. Only downside is that Subway gift cards can not be used there.

used to be reliable, first day of night classes and the bistro was closed before 6:30pm, and the cafeteria was locked. No dinner after an 8 hour work day

Could be a cool place if TV removed or at least sound volume lowered. The way it is now discourages both quiet conversation and study, sad for a café at an academic institution.

Not a great place to eat. it has a history of making students sick, but its filling enough to be passable for a student.
