This is a great small shop that’s known for its home made mochi of malt different varieties. My bro recommended it and did not disappoint… had the sampler, blueberry, chocolates, non filled rainbow and sampler. We got the day old non filled rainbow ones, and was still soft, squishy and yummy. The mochi was not too sweet, subtle sweetness. The chocolate was better than the blueberry. The prices was very reasonable, we got like 10 contains for around $60. We’ll go back.

This is a must visit shop when visiting Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. Located across the street from Tokyo Village, this stand alone family business has been selling their mochi and manju since 1903. Master Manju maker, Brian Kito is the third generation carrying on this exquisite Japanese product line. Their store offers a wonderful selection of handmade mochi and manju. I highly recommend their Strawberry mochi, which is absolutely delicious!

I heard a lot about this mochi shop and been wanting to go for years. I got to go twice the past month; the workers warmly welcomed customers! They were patient in explaining what flavors they had. Mochi is really soft even after a day later, I would love to come back more to support.
I personally liked the mango and red bean mochi with soubena powder the most.
It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the Little Tokyo station.

This is not just an incredible family owned confectionery and bakery, but it’s one of the best I have had – hands down. Fresh mochi is not only a delicacy, it’s an art form and Fugetsu-Do delivers.
We visited a few weeks back with friends from NYC and they were blown away. On the weekends, there is usually a line, but it moves quickly.
My suggestion is to try as many selections as possible and don’t just stick to the fruits and typical flavors – ask the staff for the fresh and flavorful traditions
You will not be disappointed. ❤️

My goodness, I knew they were good but these are the best mochi I have ever had in my life. I bought a box of 12 to split with my boyfriend. I swear I almost ate them by myself!

Little store that is packed with good feels. The mochi are perfect in texture and flavor, and the strawberry filling mochi is seriously one of the best.

THE mochi shop to visit at Little Tokyo. It’s a cute shop going back to 100 years ago. They have a lot of mochi flavors to try and the prices are good too $16 for 8 mochi. Our favorites are the fruit ones like strawberry and mango. The peanut butter and chocolate ones are also popular. Definitely stop by this wonderful shop!

Amazing mochis! This place has been there since 1903. We had to wait in line for a few minutes to order. They had premade packages or you could pick your flavors. Besides mochis, they also had some other Japanese products. The mochis were delicious, prices were reasonable and the staff was super friendly.
