I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but the service at this location has declined enough times that I feel it needs to be addressed.
Despite having plenty of staff, there seems to be a lack of attention to the menu and product offerings. The menu isn’t up to date—I tried ordering a specialty bagel sandwich, only to be told they no longer make it. When I asked why it was still on the menu, the manager wasn’t able to give me a clear answer.
Additionally, my wife really enjoys the cold brew shakes that Einstein offers, but the employees at this location seem unwilling or untrained to make them properly. The drink is inconsistent every visit. We ask for all the toppings (whipped cream, caramel), but often receive it without.
Today it took 15 minutes for an employee to make it because he was waiting for a coworker to do it, despite not being busy. The cashier even asked another employee to help make it but responded “you’re looking at the wrong guy” as if he’s above making the drink. On past visits, they didn’t make the drink at all, as if hoping I’d forgotten.
I don’t understand the resistance to making an item that’s advertised—especially when there’s a Starbucks in the same parking lot serving similar drinks constantly. This location has potential, but the lack of care and consistency is disappointing.

Horrible experience. Everything went wrong. I really like Einstein Bagels. This location is bad. Employees don’t listen. They take down your order incorrectly. Pay attention to details. My bagel was cold and soggy. I asked for double toasted. It came with tomatoes. Didn’t ask for tomatoes. My wife’s cheese was cold. Not melted. Ordered an Oktoberfest bagel. Supposedly they ran out of pretzel bagels. Employees looked tired and annoyed. Not happy. Not friendly. Won’t be returning to this location anytime soon.

Hey, what’s up guys? Dr. J l here, and today I discovered a great breakfast sandwich during my recent trip to Huntington Beach. We’re talking about none other than Einstein Bros Bagels. Now, I know what you might be thinking. Bagels? Really, Sean? But hear me out.
My day started early, and I was on the way to the beach. Now you guys know I love my apps, and Einstein Bros Bagels has a great one. It was super user-friendly, and within minutes I had placed my order for pickup. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
I pull up to the store and immediately notice how clean and well-kept it is. The seating area was blocked off; no tables to eat at; I guess they are in take out mode. I walk in, and there it is, my order ready and waiting for me. We love efficiency, right?
Now let’s get to the main event. The food. I had the Texas Brisket Bagel Sandwich, and it was amazing. We’re talking a cheddar jalapeno bagel with two eggs, cheese, and topped off with brisket. It was hot, delicious, and had a kick that was just right. It was quite the meal, perhaps a bit heavy for a regular breakfast but absolutely perfect for a late brunch. I was fueled up and ready to take on the beach!
What stood out to me were the freshness and quality of the ingredients, the stellar customer service, and, of course, the smooth user experience of the app. From ordering on my phone to picking it up, the process was seamless. This, combined with the high-quality food, definitely puts Einstein Bros Bagels on my revisit list next time I find myself in Huntington Beach.

Perfect place for bagels – I had the chorizo one and it’s bomb! Which I suggest you to try it. I also recommend the farmhouse is really good. Unfortunately the place still doesn’t offer dine in that’s why I gave a 3 ⭐ other than that I recommend it.

Very Disappointed – Not the EBB I Remember
If you haven’t been to Einstein Bros Bagels in the past few years, prepare to be disappointed. The quality has taken a serious nosedive. The bagels were undercooked and tasted like under-proofed dough—dense, doughy, and unpleasant. It’s shocking how far they’ve fallen from the fresh, chewy bagels they once served.
The staff were friendly and service was quick, but even the best effort can’t make up for the poor quality of food. The egg patties on the sandwiches were paper-thin, clearly made with a single egg (if that), and lacked any real flavor or substance.
To make things worse, the orange juice wasn’t fresh—it was clearly a diluted Minute Maid concentrate, and they still had the nerve to charge a premium for it. Add in the fact that there was no indoor seating, and three of the outdoor tables were marked “Reserved for Employees Only,” and you’re left with a thoroughly disappointing experience.
For the price they charge, this visit was absolutely not worth it. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I’m very disaponted to this bagel place. Today at 9:30am June 26 I decided to pass by and get myself a lunch Turkey bacon & Avocado sandwhich. I was greeted welcoming, they got my ordered correctly was waiting patiently for my order and then they called my name. I left with my food. I got to my work place and since i had time to sit down and have a bite. I unwrapped my sandwhich and i looked at it it was horrible and it was literally burn in the inside of the bread and was missing avocado was dry too. I decided to call the place no one answered like 10 times. It wasn’t busy. No one had the time to answer . I was very upset i eventually end up going back and asked to make a new sadwhich. Never coming back. it seems they don’t care.

My son loves Einsteins bagels; we used to go every Sunday, but this particular location isn’t as clean as the others. The bagels are fresh and flavorful great there, but again this location runs out of flavors often, and if they run out of sandwich ingredients they make the sandwich without it and may forget to tell you. The presentation can be sloppy and other times good.
The food overall is great, just this location isn’t as nice as most of their other locations.
