Honestly, if I could, I would rate the place well above 5 stars.

From the customer service to the vibes to the food; everything was top tier. I’m glad I stopped by this little restaraunt, it’s like I discovered a hidden gem out here in Upland.

From the very start, I noticed the entire restaurant is very clean and organized and their choices for decorations are tasteful. When acknowledged at the front, they helped explain the menu in great detail and patiently answered all of my questions. They were also especially attentive and I didn’t have to wait long to be helped when needing something.

Additionally, they offered a lot of complimentary snacks and honored my requests when asked. They were also especially polite, friendly, and accommodating compared to other restaurants. I would share more of what they went out of their way to do during my visit but I also don’t want to unintentionally encourage others to ask for things that might not be offered to every customer. I just so happened to be there alone and at a later time and I also misheard an employee and assumed customers were allowed certain accomodations such as specific refills.

Anyway, customer service was amazing, and the food was just as splendid! I never had Daishi broth before and it was absolutely delicious! I loved the various options provided for their hot pots and shaved snow desserts and definitely ate my fill while I was there.

All in all, it was a fantastic experience, even for someone eating alone at the restaraunt, and I will definitely be coming back with my friends and family.

I went to this hot pot restaurant for the second time, and I had been looking forward to coming back since my first visit because it was just that good. This time around was no different, everything was absolutely delicious.
I was especially happy to see the same woman who helped us during my last visit. I’m not sure if she is a server or a manager, but she clearly takes great pride in her work and in making guests feel welcome. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. She suggested different ways to enjoy the food, brought out chili sauces she thought we might like, and even made a delicious tea for us.
The food alone is more than enough reason to return, but her exceptional service truly sets this place apart. I will definitely be coming back, not just for the amazing food, but for the outstanding hospitality.

First off, the place was packed (very good sign) but we didn’t want too long for a table to clear up. You do order at the counter before you sit, so our food came out fairly quickly once we were seated. But we didn’t get some tasty potstickers to try first.

There are some adorable decorations in the front and some sports gear on the walls, you can watch the people making drinks.

We ordered a couple hotpots and they came with milk teas. The Mara base was very spicy and had a strong ginger (?) flavor, so be prepared for that. The sukiyaki was INCREDIBLE. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. They also have a really delicious soy garlic sauce you should try.

The service was top tier. Pleasant attitudes, helpful staff, frequent check-ins, and just overall really friendly.

We came here with our children on a cold, rainy night. With his first taste of soup my 5 year old said, “I could eat here EVERY DAY!!!” The service was fabulous and the soups and dumplings were delicious. It was very affordable for a family of 5,
including drinks and shave ice dessert. Bonus points for the toys that kept my kids busy!

Went here with my family of five, and we each ordered our own hot pot and it comes with tea! (I upgraded mine). Everything was delicious! Hannah was an amazing host—she provided excellent service, explained how everything worked, and went over each hot pot in detail. It was such a great experience, both with the food and the service. It’s been a while since we’ve had both at such a high level, so it’s nice to know this still exists. Highly recommend!

Wow. This place went above and beyond our expectations.

First of all, the prices are great. $13 for a big bowl of hot pot (sharable by two as long as you’re not super hungry) plus a large flavored milk tea.

Second, everything tasted great. We got a satay base, and later ordered a second bowl – the sukiyaki. We got the sukiyaki at a low sweetness level, as recommended by staff, but in the end we preferred the satay. They also gave us a sample of the mala, and I really liked that too and would get it next time! For the tea, we got the gingerbread and blueberry and both were amazingly delicious and sweet.

Third, their hospitality is on point!! All staff were friendly and genuinely happy that we were there. The first guy we talked to, who took our order at the counter, was down to earth and friendly and gave his recommendations. Another staff member, who served the food, was sooooo professional that we felt like we were at fine dining! And on top of that… the samples and freebies?! They gave us a whole extra milk tea. Why? No idea. They gave us a dumpling with sweet chili sauce (I think) to try. And near the end of the meal, as I mentioned earlier, they gave a dumpling with the mala base so we could try that. Then samples of one of the shaved ice flavors! We were in awe!

Needless to say, we will be back.

Pleasantly surprised when we found a Taiwanese hotpot place open up across the street from Upland High.

You order at the counter. Each hotpot comes with a free milktea from Tpumps. They ask customers if they want free samples, even they’re about to leave. I appreciated that they cleaned our table before shaved ice came out. They’re constantly checking in with us about water, rice, napkins.

Overall, great service, good food, great prices. Would come again.

Upland is so lucky to have this gem here ! We took my family who came from Honk Kong (and they have great food where they are). They loved this place ! I got the kimchi – the spice level was perfect for me. It has many different things in the pot, I was very impressed. Customer service is outstanding. Their boba is also the best. Highly recommend this place !! Worth every penny – you may have leftovers!
