I’m a 35 year old account executive for an insurance company making over 250k a year. I’m in town for a few days for a business meeting and golf outing with a client and his reps. I routinely spend 1-2k going out to entertain clients. The kid working the door said we don’t allow people over 30 to come in because “they cause problems.” Anybody who is 30 and older knows the exact opposite is true when it comes to bars and restaurants. It’s always the young/imature kids, who just started drinking, causing the problems.
When he scanned my ID, he asked me if I had a student ID. I said no. He said I couldn’t come in because people 30 and older cause problems. I said, “So if I had a student ID, I could come in?” He said, “Yes.” Explain to me how any of this makes sense. If you’re a 35-year-old educated professional making $250,000+ per year and wanting to spend a good amount of money, you’re a concern. BUT if you’re a broke 35-year-old without a degree and happen to have a student ID, it’s no problem…. come on in. Explain to me how this makes any sense. I would have spent a lot of money and not caused any problems, but someone under 30 buying well liquor and starting fights is okay if you have a student ID.
I told my client in the parking lot to forget it. I spent $1200 at a different bar entertaining my client and his reps.

Went out to meet some friends. Staff was friendly. Bartender was attentive and great even during busy times.
The dance floor music and live music overlapped too much. Solo guitarist was competing with clashing music.
Overall good vibes and reasonable priced drinks.

Horrible dj, over priced entry for a empty bar. If you leave they will try and recharge your entry even though you have wrist bands. Apparently if you leave you will be charged every time you come back in that night.
