Had a great experience at Kinjo Room. The sushi was delicious and the fish tasted incredibly fresh. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, tuna tartare, and the spicy crispy tuna roll—everything was flavorful and really well done. I also had a lychee martini; it had a slight twist that wasn’t totally my favorite, but it was still good and nicely balanced. Overall, amazing sushi and a spot I’d definitely come back to.

The food was great! I showed up an hour early for my reservation, and they graciously accomodated us. My group of 3 ordered a round of drinks every 20 minutes and another dish, whether it be a special or something the server recommended. Our server Olivia was awesome, and very knowledgeable on the menu. The food was great, and I think reasonably priced. The manager asked us to leave around 2 hours after we were sat to make room for the next table. I get it, you need to turn tables to make profit, but we were constantly ordering more and more. It killed the vibe for sure, but they were gracious enough to give a free round of drinks to make up for it. If you’re like me and you want to dine/hang out for awhile this might not be the right place for you.

If you know your way decently well around sushi, I think this is among the best fish you can get at a competitive price in the upper range sushi scene in ATL. Sure, the craftsmanship here can’t compare to a place like Mujo, but I also can’t afford to go to Mujo regularly. This place is also sourcing their fish from Kichijoji, so the quality is just superb. The cocktails are great, and the Japanese whiskey selection is superb.

As a drawback, I will say this. The menu is a little unintuitive in its layout. We went on a less busy weeknight and so could leisurely hop around the menu at our own pace and odd ordering. If it’s busy, you’ll need an attack plan before going in, I’d imagine.

A small, quiet, dark and cozy place to grab sushi. The cocktails are pretty and sushi was good quality. I wouldn’t recommend this place for big parties but more for date nights or dining alone.

Edit: Thanks for updating me on that! I didn’t know about Kinjo Next Door, but that is super cool. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

We visited on December 31st to celebrate my daughter’s 28th bday! 630 pm reservation, I arrived on-time and it took atleast 5 minutes to be greeted and acknowledged then after that another 3 to 4 minutes before we were advised of what was going on. We were seated next door and immediately after seating advised that we needed to be gone withing an hour in a half because of hour busy it was. Please advise us this on open table so we know what to experience in visiting your establishment.

We proceed to order drinks, appetizers, sushi and a main course spending over $300 for 3 individuals no problem I know my girls are foodies! We had to constantly remind the waiter of food that had not come out and that we were still waiting for! I paid attention to timing the entire time because of what we were advised which can definitely kill any mood! Do to the food not coming out in a timely fashion my daughters were offered complimentary desserts! Thanks! Check came and they have tips at 22, 25 and 30 percent or custom tip! How can you have such a high tip right with subpar service? Its offensive!

Vibe was cool! Eclectic to say the least!

Not sure if I would visit again!

Kinjo room is one of the nicest upscale sushi spots in Atlanta. Genuinely worth the splurge if you can get a reservation. The quality of their fish is extraordinary. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and sushi in general. The cocktails are so tasty and well crafted. All of our food and drinks came out super fast! I have nothing bad to say about this place, super intimate seating and lighting makes it a top tier date spot. I’ll always come back.

Great ambiance, great food, great drinks, great service. One of the few places I have ever been to where everything tastes great. The Fall of Man cocktail tastes amazing. I’m not a big sushi person but I was able to enjoy all that I dared to try here. Some of the best calamari but I recommend the lobster tempura out of all the appetizers. The red snapper has amazing seasoning but not a fan of raw fish. The wagyu roll tastes like bites of hibachi. Great service. Definitely a must try for sushi fans

Tonight I went to this phenomenal Japanese restaurant that I’ve been wanting to go to for months.
This place was not only elegant but dark(literally) and romantic.
Lit up by small candles when you walk in – you can smell the most calming scent from the reed diffuser at the host stand.
For my drink I ordered the Kinjo Cocktail (if you like gin, you will LOVE this cocktail). It tasted like a spiked lemonade but the foam on top with the matcha powder gave it some dimension.
For my meal, I ordered shrimp tempura, baked green mussels and soft snow crab roll.
My favorite would be the mussels, they had so many unique flavors that definitely made my taste buds go crazy. Everything was great but those were a knockout!
My waiter was Daniel who was very kind and informed me about the most popular dishes.
The bartender was also quiet delightful, very charismatic and comical with amazing music taste. Oh and they played Sade classics most the night, along with Frank Sinatra, Faye Webster and Steve Lacy.
I did spend a pretty penny but it was totally worth every cent

I have had sushi from all over the world and this is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Perfect date night spot with the atmosphere being romantic. Drinks are 10/10 also! 100% recommend. The lobster app, the salmon, and the negri
