It’s been a while. It seems that they had a change of ownership. The music was super loud, though I guess that might appeal to some. Would’ve been nice if the volume was a little lower, so that I could at least hear the person next to me. The server smelled like smoke. The Menus didn’t have any pricing, some of it was Sharpied out. They were out of Quesabirra, which is the thing they are known for. They charged me $2.50 for water.
Now on to the good things. The food was actually pretty good. I had the Taco De Asada and I would definitely have it again, if I ever do go again.
Back to the bad. They put the straws into the drinks for you. This seems like a very unsafe, poor hygiene thing.

came from the slopes craving some birria tacos and these did not disappoint! came with radishes, purple cabbage, onions, cilantro, the works & the lady at the register was so sweet & kind, 10/10 service.

Our first night in Santa Fe, New Mexico, El Maria Bonita was one of the only places open late. It was Karaoke night. Everyone was having a good time. The food was very good. The restaurant staff were all hurrying to make sure customers were happy with the service they received.

My sister and I had a great experience at el maria bonita. Customer service was perfect, wait times were minimal. I had amazing chorreadas with birria. The meat was tender and super flavorful. My sister had chicken enchiladas. She felt like there was too much salt, but still ate the whole thing, so it didn’t bother her enough haha.

Outstanding service! 1 man was running the whole restaurant. bartending, waiting, and hosting and our food came out quick and delicious! And he was extremely kind the entire time. I was extremely impressed with this place. Very authentic dishes!

Very friendly service, I enjoyed my food a great deal oh, it had good taste even if the chicken was a tiny bit dry, but the sauce is made up for that and it all worked out perfectly. The karaoke music was fun. I was sitting on the patio so it wasn’t too loud out there. Inside it would drive me crazy. I did feel like I was having a real Mexican experience.

Came in last night from Texas craving something authentic. Decided to role the dice on this place. Our server was very attentive and answers all our questions, he was very polite and worked very hard. Everything was absolutely delicious. The tortilla chips were still warm from the fryer, the salsa was just as fresh and addictive. Hands down best margaritas I’ve ever had anywhere. THE FOOD WAS TERRIFIC. I had the fish soup and a shrimp cocktail both tasted exactly like my abuela would make! I plan on stopping here on all future visits to this wonderful city.
