The food is excellent here every single time. The shop is clearly run by a very sweet family and their ability to make delicious food is wonderful.

The makhini is slept it’s so good, and their curries are very flavorful. Best Nan out there and super sweet service.

I’ll always support this family for as many years as possible

This is by far the best indian authentic food experience that we tried. The tandoori variety of dishes is amazing. We’ve been returning to this small restaurant for a few times since we discovered it. My kids love it!
The lady who cooks here knows what needs to be done to crave for the authentic indian taste. Highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience an authentic, delicious indian cuisine.

One of the best Indian foods I’ve had, beautitful Family restaurant. I love mom and pop shops. Everything I had was Soo Yummy you could taste the love they put in each meal. Very reasonable as well. And the restaurant itself was very clean, very well maintained all around.

I am giving 1 star because there is no way I can give no stars on google review. The Biryani costs $18 + taxes. I just can’t believe this Biryani . Guys / Gals , please don’t fall for this , this is not Indian Food. I had to wait for atleast 40 minutes to pickup the food, but that is fine if the food was worth it, as somebody has famously said “Patience is a virtue, which we all should strive to achieve”.Really please help me in explaining what cuisine is this food. Honestly the food is not good that’s all I can say. Based on previous reviews I feel the owner is in complete denial. Time to call Kitchen Nightmares ! , absolute NIGHTMARE !!

Don’t listen to the 1 star review person…It appears maybe they did not like the dish they got. It also looks like they poured the dish into the to go rice box making a messy looking photo (not how they should eat that dish).

Anyways, the family run “hole in the wall” restaurant is outstanding. I have eaten here for a decade and consider it the best Indian food I have found so far (tried 4-5 other places).

Favorite dish: chicken korma, basmati rice and coconut Nan (an amazing sweet curry).

The price and wait time is worth it. Just make sure you have a good idea of what dish you might like so you don’t end up like the one star guy. I could easily mash food together like a child and present an otherwise delicious looking dish as garbage in a photo.

Side note, the first dish I tried there I did not care for (fried pork dish). I am very happy I tried them again. My whole family raves about their curry and Nan bread.

5 stars for the owners and the food!

I love indian food, it’s hard to find good authentic fare, I was in hollywood not too long ago and had some but was left wanting. I’ve had some good places in the Inland Empire, but hadn’t had any luck since moving down here.

My husband surprised me with this little gem of a place for my birthday, and it’s a small innocuous hole in the wall, but inside I had what was quite possibly the best indian meal of my life.

The curries were exploding with aromatic spices and flavors, the rice was scrumptious and fresh and our tandoori chicken and lamb arrived to our table sizzling hot and was cooked to absolute perfection.

The naan bread was fresh off the oven and absolutely delicious, their chutneys and sauces are so flavorful and tasty, I could have eaten nothing but the naan and I would have left happy.

At the end they surprised me with a lovely rice pudding dessert. I was so happy, and our waitress was always so sweet and was happy to suggest dishes to my husband!

I’m very happy I’ve found an amazing place to satisfy my indian food craves. If you’re in the area, you must give this place a shot and have it change your life.

PS the Mango Lassi is to die for.

A big disappointment. I rarely give 2 stars, but we had a very disappointing meal from Bombay Cafe this evening (take away). We had 3 different curries (Tikka Masala, Korma and Mahkini). All 3 were so sweet, we could not eat even half – it was like a desert. We had my mother-in-law try all 3 blindfolded, she could not tell the difference between any of the 3 – they all tasted too similar. The Tandoori meat in the Tikka Masala was hard, burnt on the edges and very dry, was certainly leftovers from the previous day.

Then came the regular and garlic Naan. Ugg. Both were so under cooked you could squish the dough together. We had to put them in our Air fryer to finish cooking them. That was $70 wasted meal and half of it went down the garbage disposal.

It would need to take some radical changes or big explanations for us to go back there.

Bombay Cafe is hands down my all-time favorite restaurant! For a couple years, I pretty much ate there exclusively (not an exaggeration!) until I moved to the Central Coast.. Even now, Bombay Cafe holds a special place in my heart and is one of the things I miss most about living in San Diego County. At first glance, the restaurant might seem like a simple hole-in-the-wall spot, but I promise you—sometimes the most extraordinary treasures are found in the most unassuming places. Bombay Cafe is family-run, and their warmth, kindness, and hospitality are as incredible as the food they serve. Every dish is authentic, crafted with love and bursting with flavor.
