had the chance to try Rojo Cocina Mexicana & Cantina, and I can honestly say it was worth every mile of the drive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and welcoming smiles that immediately made us feel comfortable. That first impression truly set the tone for the entire evening.

From the outside, it may seem like just another local spot, but once inside, you quickly realize it’s a hidden gem in Chamblee, Georgia. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed — the perfect combination for enjoying good food and great company. The décor carried a vibrant Mexican charm, colorful and energetic without feeling overwhelming.

The drinks were absolutely on point. Each one was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and crafted with attention to detail. You could tell care went into every cocktail that came to our table. As for the food, every dish was packed with authentic flavor. The spices were bold but balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation made everything even more appealing. Every bite felt satisfying and memorable.

What truly stood out was how everyone at our table loved the entire experience — the atmosphere, the food, the people, and especially the staff. The service was attentive without being intrusive, making us feel valued throughout our visit.

If you’re anywhere near Chamblee, Rojo Cocina Mexicana & Cantina is absolutely worth your time, money, and gas. It’s the kind of place you happily recommend and look forward to visiting again.

My friend and I came in on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 because it was a nearby restaurant and we’re trying to expand a little, and oh my goodness! First of all, I was a little surprised by the fact that we were seated immediately, it was almost completely empty which is insane because the service was delightful!! We also got our food quickly (also cheaper than I was expecting, around 13 for my food and 16 for my friend’s) qnd it was so good!!! I wasn’t able to finish all of mine but I of course asked for a to-go box! I can’t wait to come back and I hope they get more customers soon because it’s definitely deserved!! Will absolutely be recommending to friends

Pros: the place is very nice and clean. The decorations, the ambiance, the set up, tables and chairs are very nice and clean.
Cons: well it is clearly cater to Americans for the food is not necessarily authentic. It has your typical rice, beans, lettuce with sour cream pico de gallo and choice of meat and tada is a Mexican dish. If you want to go to a clean, nice looking restaurant to impress your non Mexican friends who eat mild salsas, this is the place for sure. The stuff is nice, place is clean and food is decent. Music they played is awesome, from Spanish rock to tropical genres. If you want something more authentic definitely try a different spot. There are many different places in the area with a sense of street style, more authentic Mexican dishes that most America or dare to try.

Very Nice and Clean. Easy Acess. The decor atmosphere was excellent. Food was very good, but asked for extra cheese and there was very little to no cheese in meat. The strawberry daiquiri was very tasty but needed a bit more real strawberry. I had combo plate of burrito and enchilada both ground beef. Not much spice flavor. The presentation was excellent. If I go again I believe I would not order from the combo menu for better flavoring. The chicken chimichanga had very little meat.

The big standout is the staff—our waitress was so hardworking and sweet! She was so quick with the drinks and a high chair and we really appreciated it. The food is good—the birria tacos and plantains are great. Don’t get the house margarita, but the skinny margarita is good.

The Baja fish tacos. And the shrimp tacos are so delicious. We eat here at least once a week! It’s in a cute neighborhood with an adorable patio. 10/10 recommend.

We went on a Saturday morning and it was pretty empty. They have a lunch special Mon-Sat with all the menu favorites. We got the enchiladas supremes, chicken chimichanga, and beef burrito supremes. The portion sizes were good for the price, but the beef burrito was slightly over salted (came with rice), chimichanga only came with rice (no beans, the chicken was slightly dry-don’t expect an over sauced chimichanga), and the variety of the chimichangas was nice (1 beef, 1 cheese, 1 chicken)! Seating area a little chilly, but very clean and nicely decorated! Great atmosphere!

A bit quiet here for a Saturday night but also nice not to have a wait. We came in for a quick drink and appetizer before going out. We weren’t disappointed by the quality of the drinks and food. The margarita was tasty and so was the guacamole.
