Pegasus last week on the recommendation of a girlfriend. Lunch special: Hawaiian and salad and soda for $10. Staff are friendly and pizza came out steaming hot. Loved it.

Pegasus’ salads are still as tasty as ever—the flavors are fresh, vibrant, and really hit the spot. That said, the portion sizes have definitely shrunk, and the price has gone up a few dollars, which is a bit disappointing. If you’re hungry, you might need a little extra to feel full, but the quality and taste make it worth it. Still a solid choice for a yummy, satisfying salad!

I had quite possibly the best salad I’ve ever had. It was the Gorgonzola and pear with candied walnuts. The flavor was perfection. I don’t eat pizza. My boyfriend really enjoyed his. We will be back. He’s happy that there’s now a pizza place I’ll go to.

Years ago, I used to frequent the Pegasus Pizza in the University District. It was my second favorite pizza place in town after Meza Luna. I stopped at the Oakway location the other day and got a couple of slices; I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I ordered the margarita for myself; what they did was take a cold piece of cheese pizza, which had half the cheese ripped off, put on several slices of unripe tomatoes, heated it up for a few minutes then put some raw basil and some cheese on top and called it good. That is not margarita pizza. The basil and tomatoes should be added from the start so they are roasted along with the cheese and sauce (which was also lacking, BTW).
The pepperoni pizza I got from my husband was not much better. For what it’s worth I almost never write reviews, but this was so poor and disappointing that I had to write about it. I would love to hear back from management about this experience.

This spot has the MOST delicious pizza ever! My husband is a very picky pizza guy. And, in his words even the crust was worth eating!! We will definitely go back for take out. But, the interior was quite small and tight quarters for inside eating. The salads are LARGE for a house salad. You definitely won’t go away hungry eating here.

Cheese, oregano, hot sauce, cups for water – anything you could need or desire to go with your pizza. I been eatin’ at Sy’s too.much lately. Gettin’ spoiled over here. Today, I had the $8.00 Lunch special. A huge slice of Cheese Pizza, a Gorgonzola Pear Salad & water with a splash of Lemonade in it. If you look at the little box my Salad came in, it seems quite small. Well, when I took it out & plated it, my dinner sized plate was HEAP full to the edges with crispy Greens, creamy Gorgonzola, a ton of fresh Pear slices & lots of Candied Walnuts. Then I poured the ample sized portion of house Vinaigrette on it & that Salad alone was a meal. Please take a look closely at the box of Salad vs the plate of Salad! How’d they fit all that into the tiny box? Must be magic! The flavor sure was magic! My Pizza slice was super yummy, cooked longer as I asked it to be. My slice was very generous in size. The sauce wasn’t totally burdened with Italian seasoning either. If you have read my other reviews, you’ll see that I am not a big fan of the heavy hand of spices, overtaking any dish. Also, I didn’t sneeze, so no funny additive was in any of my food. That’s pretty rare with Salad. I usually know that my Salad is totally filled with Sulfites, because it becomes a sneezefest, upon eating my Salad. The Pizza slice had just the right amount of Cheese & the Crust was super duper thin, with a nice chunky, doughy, fat, thick edge. Like fresh, baked bread, it tasted. She said my Lunch came with a fountain or a canned beverage, but I am not really a Pop drinker, so I opted for water with a Splash of the fountain Lemonade. The Chairs are all put up, so if you dine on premise, you’ll need to eat outside, which is a cute little covered area. I know there are 2 other Pegasus locations as well, but I don’t know if they allow dining in yet either. This location is very small. They do ask for Masking & Social Distancing still, at this Oakway location. My hats off to Pegasus Pizza, because my Palate & Tummy are both quite happy. The person who waited on me, was also super sweet & helpful. I shall be back. Thank you!

Was dining in and really disappointed with how the manager treated her employees. Made for a really uncomfortable dining experience. I imagine the employee turnover is frequent. The rest of the staff were polite, and working hard, not sure what made the manager act that way but it was really unprofessional.

Fantastic Pizza! Pegasus on Oakway is clean, cozy, friendly and a tiny bit quirky. The things you will love most are their fresh organic ingredients and how well they create unique combinations with them. If your into yummy Whole Foods; vegan or non vegan , or just like a great slice of pizza this is a very satisfying choice. Highly Recommend!
