Was looking for the classic NY style hotdog stand and this fits the bill perfectly. Love the story behind the ownership. Right in front of The Met, we were able to eat on the steps and enjoy the sunshine while looking down 5th Avenue. We shared the special, two hot dogs & a water for $11. We added chili, cheese, & mustard. All was good, as expected. No frills, nothing complicated. Friendly, conversational service and a NY style hotdog. ✅

$11 for 2 dogs and a water is a great snack after running around the museum. It might not be gourmet but the price is right, it’s close, it’s fast, and you get to enjoy a hotdog in front of the met.

Delicious jumbo hot dog in front of the met. We got the mustard, sauerkraut and onion sauce to try it the way they do in nyc, and it was pretty good! maybe would have taken off the onion sauce but I liked the mustard and sauerkraut a lot. The hot dog itself was also really good, and the person preparing was friendly and fast. The cost is a bit steep and I wouldn’t say it’s worth it over other hot dogs I’ve had so that’s why 4/5, but if you’re in the area it’s probably the best for that vicinity!

Just watched Street Food USA on Netflix and had to come to the MET specifically for their hot dog. It did not disappoint – the beef sausage was amazing and the price was super cheap.
