What’s has happened to Cookout in Tarboro NC. Past food and service was great. Now orders are always wrong. Buns are so dry they crumble and fall apart. Items left out of bags. Customer service has totally gone downhill. I’d say someone needs to come from corporate and do some training. We would visit two or three times a week. Not planning to go back.

Would definitely never come back here. The customer service was rude and acted like they didn’t want us to be there. The people would slam the windows shut before you could finish speaking, and they gave me no more than 10 fries for my meal. By far the worst spot I’ve been too.

The woman that took my order was high, idk what she was on but she got my whole order messed up. Got 3 char grilled chicken trays, 2 original style & one with only chicken, lettuce, & tomatoes and she was all confused and had to call someone over to help her find it on her screen. THIS woman gave me 2 w only bread and chicken, and one with lettuce & tomatoes. Getting the drinks was a pain too, I asked for Fanta and she said “ uhhhhh we don’t have that” and I saw it on the drink fountain so I told her “I want orange Fanta” and this woman was all lost and said “we ont have tha, we only got that” while LITERALLY POINTING at the Fanta. So overall idk what she was doing but yea.

We stopped in during a three hour return trip from a family visit. We were all driving hangry.
We had a complicated order and everything was prepared quickly, correctly and hot. We were given plasticware, and although did not receive napkins I can’t take a star for that due to the service and we didn’t check the bag before leaving the property.
Now that I know where this is, I will probably stop through in my travels.

My partner and I wanted to get away from family and have a nice dinner out. Now I’ll be honest, cook out wasn’t our first choice. However it was Memorial Day and there wasn’t much open. Thankfully Cook Out was and for that I am thankful. Not being from the area we had no idea what to expect. We were planning on sitting down and I thought this was more of a BBQ place. While it wasn’t either of those, it was a good meal. Both of us had burgers and a selection of sides. All were good and it was a good little meal in our car before heading back to the family. Thanks to all of you and if I ever am back in the area you all will be on my list.
