We stopped in for supper and were pleased with our choice. A friendly local place with good food and service. The spicy cod chowder was excellent! My husband loved it. Portions were well sized and adding the salad bar option to our meals was a nice feature. We’ll be back next time we’re in Algoma.

I absolutely love this place. Their chicken wings are some of the best around—crispy, flavorful, and totally addictive—but why do they never have the drummies?! I’m a drummie fan through and through, and I keep hoping one day I’ll hit the jackpot.

The atmosphere here is great—cozy, welcoming, and just the right mix of laid-back and lively. The pizza is fantastic too, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband and I have probably gotten take-out here over forty times by now, and it’s always consistently good.

Pro tip: Don’t park in the corner lot across the street to pick up your order. Even though the business there only closed last year, apparently that patch of asphalt has become the most hotly guarded real estate in town. The police patrol it like it’s Fort Knox, and you’ll risk a ticket for daring to linger.

Still, Off The Hook is absolutely worth the trip—great food, great people, and a place that just feels like home.

(I’ll give you an extra star if we get a load of drummies next time we’re in… Lol!)

Food was okay. Got 4 dozen orders of wings, plenty of sauces to choose from so we were excited. Was just driving thru town so this was going to be our first and last time since it was a pit stop for our vacation.

Wings are pretty small – smaller than typical Buffalow Wild Wings size btw. And Wings could use more sauce. Their base flavor is the same.. a little salty & slightly charred. Then sauce on top. We were disappointed. The price point was good though, glad it wasn’t any higher.

Service was great and the servers were very friendly.

Kids enjoyed playing some of the bar games while the food was being cooked. I enjoyed the small salad bar. The fried chicken was crispy and had excellent flavor. The breaded pork chop maybe was better. There’s outdoor dining available with a good view. Inside decor is nothing to write home to Mom about, but the staff make you feel like family. Recommend

Our waitress was very nice. Reasonable prices. Grilled chicken was yummy. Cod soup had a lot of cod. Kids loved chicken wings. Chicken tender was too dry, so my daughter gave it to my husband to eat.

A “hello” from the two bartenders is always a good sign. AND that is exactly what I experienced upon enterIng. We sat down in the dining area and waited for 7 minutes before being acknowledged. Our table was dirty and I noted only 3 tables with customers (2 or 3 people at each table). I went to the bar to get our own drinks. Dining room service was very slow; cod and shrimp baskets were typical bar food. If you like coleslaw, this place has it! Very good!

Great food, awesome service! Our waitress was so kind and friendly! The pizza is hand made in restaurant and is soooo good! The soups are tasty too! They have a nice choice of alcoholic beverages as well.

Stopped in on a whim on a Saturday morning. Bartender was attentive and friendly. We had the pepperjack cheese curds and they had a kick to them! This is coming from a Midwestern person, so take it for what it’s worth.

I would absolutely come back for more!

This was truly the worst dining experience. There was 1 waitress for the whole place, including bussing tables. It took an hour to get our food, and when it came it was terrible. Over cooked (charred) burgers, weird textured wings, overly sweet sauce. It was way overpriced. If you’re looking for good bar food, this isn’t the place.

We were really excited to check this place out, especially since we’re locals and had heard good things. We stopped in on a Sunday around 11am and placed a small order, just some chicken wings and cheesy bread for two of us.

As time passed, we noticed several tables that arrived after us receiving their food. After about 30 minutes with no updates, we flagged down our server to check in. She mentioned the kitchen must be backed up, but when she went to check, she realized our order was never actually put in.

We were really looking forward to supporting a local spot, and while the atmosphere was great, the service missed the mark this time. Hopefully this was just a one-off experience.
