They have a variety of Banh Mi sandwiches and build-your-own ramen, as well as boba teas (you can choose how much sugar is in it!) and coconut jelly for dessert. I had a Banh Mi and the coconut jelly, and both were so good! The sandwich comes with the veggies and sauce on the side, so you can add whatever you’d like, which I appreciated. There was a sign saying they bake the bread everyday and you can tell, it was delightfully crispy without being abrasive. The coconut jelly was very coconut forward and not too sweet, really good! The staff was super nice and helpful too, highly recommend trying it!

Was in the mood for Vietnamese and was so happy to find Yummy Banh Mi in Cedar Rapids! We ordered the vegetarian Banh Mi sandwich with a fried egg and a vegetarian lo mein bowl, both were flavorful and filling. The matcha tea was also amazing. Highly recommend this gem of a place on Blairs Ferry road!

1st off..RUN! DONT WALK!
We were attempting to get some Indian food next door after our record breaking 1.5 ft snow fall, but even though the sign said open, the doors were locked. So, we took a short stroll to Ymmy Bahn Mi and were immediately greeted by a very chipper and pleasant lady behind the counter. As we walked up she asked if we had been here before. “No, our 1st time” I replied and she went over in great detail their sandwich menu. Then pointed to the wall where she had a ramen menu and explained it also. She said take your time but after pondering less than 15 seconds we decided to order.
Took our Ramen & sandwiches home, which to my suprise were carefully packaged (toppings for sandwich were in a cute bag for us to assemble at home). The bread was so good too. A nice hoagie, crispy on the top & soft inside! Ramen and veggies were seperate from the broth. The Ramen broth was the best Ive had here in Cedar Rapids. Flavorful. Not salty. Perfectly created!
OH. MY. GOD. is an understatement. This food is beyond amazing. Ive been wanting to try this place for a hot minute and so glad we did today! We will certainly be back to try the rest of the sandwiches and ramen again!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Total out the door for 2 sandwiches and 2 orders of Ramen… $44. Cant beat it.

I’ve never had a banh mi before but heard good things about this restaurant. I went on a Saturday and ordered a pork belly banh mi for takeout. The price was reasonable and the sandwich was delicious. The meat was tender, the bread was freshly baked, and the veggies were crisp. I enjoyed it so much that I came back the following Sunday and ordered another one.

An absolute gem in this city. This is actually the best banh mi I have had in my life, and my best friend in childhood was French Vietnamese so I was lucky enough to be exposed to really good food! The owner bakes authentic French bread every morning, which is a serious affair. Many places serve “banh mi” on generic bread loaves, which should be illegal in foodie law (IMO) . The French have strict rules for a loaf of bread to be considered a French baguette (for good reason), and having an authentic baguette is the most important part of banh mi! I mean, it’s literally the name! Beyond the bread, all of the ingredients are of the highest quality. She has a standard for her food that she meets regardless of who is looking or what time of day it is. I have gotten the same exact service and food quality coming in for lunch as I have coming in 20 minutes before closing. I have a lot of respect for her and her brother for having opened this labor of love to elevate the palettes of the people of Cedar Rapids with excellent banh mi! Locals, don’t miss this place to eat! You will be hard pressed to find another banh mi on this level! Please don’t go away Yummy! We need you!

1) Their homemade bread is deliciously flaky and fresh, perfectly balanced with the veggies and choices. I really like their home made sauce – I want to try their soup and bread dish, too
2) After sharing that it was our first time in, they explained the menu options and what was recommended- I got the #3 pork belly and #17 Vietnamese coffee. Sandwich toppings were separate so I could add-on (good if folks are new to Banh mi and want to customize toppings), and the fresh pickled veggies balanced the bread and meat perfectly. The Vietnamese coffee was deliciously strong.
3) atmosphere was open, clean, quiet, and relaxing on a Sunday afternoon – it seems like a great lunch pickup option during the week.
I’m so glad I came, and look forward to trying more of the menu.

I’m INCREDIBLY jealous of anyone who has a short commute to this place. I’d go bankrupt if this was in my backyard coming here everyday but maybe not because the quality for the price is outstanding. Eat here!! We’re so lucky to have authentic Vietnamese banh mi in our area!!

The restaurant was very new so it was obviously very nice and clean. The staff was super great, I had never been there so they went over the menu with me and helped me choose.

I got a peach ice tea with popping boba which was ready for me to enjoy while I waited for my take out.

My sandwich was the chicken and shrimp cake that they said was made in house. It was delicious and very flavorful! The homemade bread was perfect and the sauce & veggies were all great.

I can’t wait to try more things on the menu!

(I got excited and took a bite before my picture, whoops!)

Tried Yummy Banh Mi tonight and it was so excellent! Tried the pork belly banh mi, coconut coffee, and mango tea. The pork belly was so tender and flavorful and they really loaded it up with more pork belly than I would have expected for the price, I also really like that they packaged the veggies and sauce separately so it didn’t get soggy. The coconut coffee is most definitely one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had and I will be returning here soon! The staff was very friendly

Tried it for the first time today and we loved it! Very simple menu with just 6 sandwiches to choose from. Went with the classic and enjoyed every bite.
Didn’t bother with the boba as it was outrageously priced but the sandwich was fairly priced and tasted delicious.
