This little restaurant has the best carnitas here in Modesto . These carnitas were extremely flavorful and juicy. The beans and rice were also excellent. You can get individual plates or order pounds of carnitas. Prices are very good. I’ve yet to try their tri tip but if the carnitas are any indication, then I believe I will enjoy that as well.

I have been here many times for their good food. Today they made me wait 45 minutes just for a one pound order of chicharron and guacamole. I will be late to work for something that should have taken 5 minutes. Knowing they screwed up they still didn’t offer anything for their mistake. I will definitely not be back.

Update: still love the food… horchata is watered down too much, not enough flavor. Flies need to be controlled still and bathrooms always need attention. -1 star

I love getting food from here. Everything taste good here. However there’s one thing I really don’t like. When you order carnitas. They only give you 1 cup with salsa. Why not 2 at least I mean don’t be so cheap over that. If you want another you gotta pay for it. It shouldn’t be like that i mean 2 can last you for the carnitas you bought. If you buy 2 plates of carnitas. There should be 4 cups of salsa. Because I realized that 1 cup of salsa for the plate isn’t enough for the whole plate. It only gets you 6 to 7 tacos of carnitas and it wasted leaving you with some left over.

Food was very good in taste and portion and price! The gentleman that took our order was also very friendly, brought us our food and asked if we needed anything else. If I could suggest something it would be for it to be cleaner but other than that this place is solid!

This place is AMAZING. A great deal for half a pound of carnitas and the staff is super friendly. Large portions and authentic tasting food. Fresh dishes served in a cozy home-like atmosphere. Highly recommend!
