We had set up this family vacation for 3 days to swim, tube and relax. We attended the retreat years back for a wedding and wanted to come back since then. Week leading up to the vacation we received 2 calls to schedule the tubing events. We arrived early before check in to go tubing and was informed that tubing did not open till 4 pm and we were scheduled for 230 pm and they had an opening at 600 pm and they had to cancel our appointment for the next day due to staffing issues.
They ended up refunding us for the day missed but it was discouraging trying to figure out what was going on.
The spa was top notch and very friendly, courteous staff. The food from the Bistro was awesome and definitely would go out of my way to go there even if I was not staying there.

Great place for the annual Medieval Feast for Peak’n Peek. The food was great from Bistro 210, and the service was phenomenal by the actors! Waiting area could use some fixing up but all in all was great!

We went here for the tubbing. Great time! Perfect hill for kids, adults, families and more. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well too.

Ate here twice, once at the bar and once at a booth. Both times the food was as expected, better than expected for a resort. Service at the bar was great, a little noisy when guys come in after golf. The bar is pretty cool looking, they’ve kept it mostly original, which I liked.

Lines were long to get in and to go on the magic carpet. They had more people then they did tubes.
Kids had fun though.

We went snow tubing at Peek and Peak. The kids had tons of fun. It was $20 a person for two hours. The line went quickly and it was definitely worth the wait. Parking was a bit scarce though so expect to park on the street. This attraction is safe for kids 3 and up and a mask is required for all. We had dinner at The Retreat and the prices were pretty good. A good evening out for the family.

Food was good and our waitress was great. She took care of everything we needed promptly. Replaced the kids drinks when they weren’t satisfactory to them too. If we had anything to complain about..it would be the “drunk” table. Your supposed to be a fancy resort and you charge resort prices. Fix or replace the tables. This one was so bad you could not even set a drink on it.

It was awful. We waited in line for 40 minutes. We ordered a chicken sandwich two kids hot dogs meals and a sausage meal. We got the chicken sandwich right away and waiting for the rest we finally got the hot dogs and asked for the sausage. After watching 40 mins they tell us they are out of the sausage. I asked for my chicken sandwich to be re made because we waited so long and it was ice cold they told me it would be another half hour. No one working knew what they were doing. The person that took our order walked a way never said anything or told anyone what we ordered leaving us standing there. The kid running the grill kept touching his face and hair. NO one had gloves on. I finally got so frustrated we walked out and went somewhere else. Never again will I eat there.

I’ve been to the retreat several times over the years when going snow tubing. This is a great place to come after tubing or are skiing on the nearby slopes to grab a bite to eat. Just keep in mind that you’re going to pay a premium price for the food and beverages. Seating was closed while we were there as well (probably due to COVID) and parking can be scarce.

Usually pretty good but the last visit was extremely show service for the food line. My party split up and half of us went to the main shack and in the time it took us to ski over and order and sit-down with the food, our friends were still waiting in line at The Retreat.
