They were busy when we got there around 9:30am on a saturday morning, but seevice was still quick and friendly. The chocolate croissant was absolutely delicious. Coffee latte was adorable and nicely frothed. However the expresso sho in it was a bit sour and needed tuned in. Overall cute cafe in a conventional location in walkable Old Town with lots to do and see nearby.

I had the breakfast sandwich with a side of fruit. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good and the english muffin is huge with a lot of flavor. One of the black berries in the fruit cup had mold on it and it didn’t look like they washed their fruit because there was dirt on the blueberries. My girlfriend got the quiche florentine with a side salad. She really likes the salad, and she liked the quiche, but it was cold in the middle. They probably just reheat it in the microwave which is fine, but its a huge piece that doesn’t reheat well. We complained about it and they just gave us a new one togo that was also cold in the middle and didn’t give us the rest of the salad back. Sort of a weird setup for a kitchen and the food could be better with more care given. Disappointing given the price. My girlfriend has been to the Ventura location and said that things were better there.

Early Grey Lavender Croissant:
This pastry was delicious. The exterior was flaky and buttery while the inside was airy and light. The outside had a sweet frosting and the front side had a creamy flavored custard-like filling. The flavored filling was a lightly sweetened but a very flavorful tea flavor with notes of lavender. Not overpowering but just enough. My new favorite pastry here. Enjoy it with an Earl Grey Lavender Tea Latte. The perfect combo.
Avocado toast:
Served with fruit. It was super fresh and crisp, not slimy. The toast was a crispy sourdough. They add a layer of a pepper spread, top with sliced avo, and sprinkle some pistachio dust straight from the gods. They also top it with pickled red onion that adds just a slight amount of vinegary-sweetness. Next time I will order with a poached egg on top.

Coffee is not it. We ordered a White Mocha Latte with oat and it tasted like burnt coffee with whole milk. I also got an iced Hazelnut Latte with oat and it was ok, but could barely taste the coffee.
Given the staff favorites, maybe this is a place for flavored Matcha, but I am not from here so I doubt I’ll try this place again if I come back.
The staff was lovely tho. Wish they would labeled their coffee once they put them out so we knew for sure the drink was what we ordered.

I took my wife here for Breakfast yesterday because she wanted to go to Camarillo outlet on our way back from Santa Barbara. I was able to find parking right in front of the place. When we walked inside, there were a couple of tables open for us to sit. I got the English Muffin Sandwich and my wife got their Strawberry crepes. It didn’t long for our food to come out and when I was putting in our order, I had small talk with the lady servicing us and I told her that we were on our honeymoon. So when she came to give us our food, she sang for us which was appreciated by us. I enjoy my Muffin Sandwich and my wife really loved her Strawberry crepes. She also got their iced Mocha Latte as well.

Great coffee and delicious food. I had the breakfast croissant and a cup of coffee which were both great. We also had a waffle with blueberry and ricotta that was incredible. The cappuccino and americanos were also great. We took a couple English muffins, a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant for breakfast the next day and were not disappointed in those either! Everyone was really nice, helpful, and accommodating.

Went to Cafe Ficelle to try out their new Butter & Bubbles happy hour. My husband and I got a bottle of Pinot Noir, the baked Brie, and the Burrata, tomato, and procuitto appetizers. It was lovely and the food was delicious!

Really good! Delicious food. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. The lattes were amazing and they also have mimosas! Cafe Ficelle is a hidden gem. They have amazing French pastries and offer an awesome atmosphere for brunch. I will definitely return for a chocolate croissant.

I tried Cafe Ficelle a while ago at the Ventura location and loved it. I had just got a coffee and pastry that time. So when I saw there was one in Camarillo also, I wanted to go back. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte, my cousin ordered a hot chocolate and mom got a regular latte. I also ordered a Poulet Roti Sandwich which is with roasted chicken. It was on a baguette type of bread. It came with a side salad which was delicious! I really loved the salad and would go back just to order that. :-p The cafe is a bit small inside but they do have some tables…maybe about 4. It is located in old town camarillo so there is plenty to do if you are there when the rest of the stores open. The advantage of going before stores open is parking is easy! 🙂

What a great, delicious, friendly place! The pain au Chocolat is an art piece. The cafe is efficient as well as warm and inviting so you can stay and chill or grab and go. Worth a trip and a tip!
Update: I made a mistake on my order and went to buy the correct vegetarian version and they refused to take my money and remade it – a true class act.
