Refined soba soup shop with mostly counter-seating & a traditional menu which includes wine.

Update: we have been here several times now and have not had one thing we didn’t like. The service and food has been consistently great, and it’s out favorite sushi spot in town.
We came here for lunch on a Monday and it was fantastic. Service was great – there was one server working but our food came out very quickly.
We had the lobster tempura and a few different rolls. The lobster was perfectly cooked and the portion sizes on everything were generous. We had the lion king, golden salmon, California, and Saturday rolls.
This was our first visit and we were impressed. After having been to several other sushi spots in town, this is our new favorite, hands down.

Very satisfying meal and very pleasantly surprised!
“Western/American” style sushi rolls are usually a bit too much for us, but we really enjoyed our dinner tonight. The fish tasted clean. The grilled squid had a beautiful smokey char. The rolls had good flavor and weren’t drowned in sauce.
It’s a nice little spot to go to for a fresh sushi meal! ごちそうさまでした!

The exterior was sketchy because of the blinds but when we got in it was very welcoming and rather big. We got our tables instantly. The waiters were very nice, sweet, humorous, and flexible. The food was great too. Very family friendly. I would absolutely recommend coming here. It’s not like those other typical sushi restaurants. In conclusion I loved it here.

I stopped in for lunch and had a great experience for an impressive value. The staff were impressively friendly and attentive not only to me but the other guests who visited while I was there. I ordered the explosion roll to eat and hot green tea to drink, both of which were delightful. The flavors and textures of the explosion roll were complex, harmonious, and delicious, and the dish had just the right amount of heat.

A pretty solid sushi restaurant for the area. Beef was overcooked but had great seasoning and teriyaki sause, but for $18 they sure can cut the price by $3 to match its value. The salad was very good and there was plenty of it for each entree! The miso soup was alright… There are over 40 different sushis to choose from and there is a whole menu dedicated to them!
Service really stood out tonight as they knew that Thanksgiving was tomorrow and there was a relaxed atmosphere, especially with the warriors vs 76ers game on. The server calls to let your group know the table is ready and quickly seats you with the menus and checks up often for water/soda.
Ive come to expect a solid Japanese restaurant in the area and its just matched with what I thought. Maybe a $1-3 price adjustment on some items like the bento and teriyaki entrees and it’s pretty good for what it is! 🙂

I actually was suprised that vacaville would have a decent sushi place, but this place was good, my only dissatisfaction was our waitress. The Hawaii role, Thursday role, and Kazan 2 role were delicious.

Kazan took our family of 25 people with just an hour notice. They even closed down the restaurant to give us the best service. We are grateful to have celebrated the life of our family member at your establishment with great vibes, amazing food, and excellent service!

It was acceptable, but I wouldn’t go back again at this price. The calamari was not very flavorful, and the rice for the unagi don was dry. Our server was nice, though. I was surprised at the food quality because the previous reviews for this place were quite positive, but as I later learned the day I went, apparently the kitchen has changed since and the previous chef now has a restaurant in Dixon. Perhaps give this one a pass.
