Ordered: cold noodle combo with jokbal, soon seafood tofu soup combo with kalbi and deep fried squid.

EVERYTHING was delicious. The food came out quick. The sides were amazing and refillable. The kids really enjoyed the hot broth. The service was great. The lady and her staff were very nice. I know there is a lot of Korean food in Irvine but i would really recommend. This place is located really close to UCI in a very quiet, plenty of parking area.

Loved this place! We came on a Wednesday night and there were not a lot of people so our plates came pretty quickly. Plenty of tasty small dishes and they added more for us timely. We ordered #24 Maeun Kalbijjim (braised short ribs with spicy sauce) with cheese. Meat was very tender and bones were removed. Cheese was mixed in the dish (not just covering the top) which I really liked. This dish itself is more than enough for two people. We got a cold noodle on the house. It was delicious as well. Would definitely come again!

My partner and I adore this family-owned restaurant. We always come here when we’re in need of a home-cooked meal. The owner, Becky, creates such a lovely atmosphere—you can really feel how passionate she is about the restaurant and the guest experience. Every dish we’ve tried has been a hit, and we especially love the complimentary hot broth and the flowing banchan. Yoo’s Place has quickly become a favorite spot for a meal with friends or to visit on nights when our bodies and spirits need a lift!

Second (of 3) location of this restaurant with a menu that should satisfy most cravings for Korean or Korean-style Chinese food.
The restaurant offers a complimentary daily soup/broth appetizer in an insulated bottle. The broth today was a beef broth (육수) that was savory, comforting and delicious!
We ordered the Rabbokki (ddukbokki with ramen noodles), fried rice and spicy chicken wings. Everything we had was so good!
The banchan was varied and plentiful and the kimchi they serve is a fresh dish (geotjori) that is made daily, so was mildly spicy and slightly sweet without the tartness of fermentation.
The cucumbers were crunchy and fresh.
They sliced the rice cakes when they bring the dish to your table (this was a first for me and will get video next time).
The wings were great. Very mild for being called spicy. Maybe a 4/10 on the spicy scale.
The fried rice was full of umami and plump shrimp.
The service was attentive and friendly and there were ample tables when we went (5pm on a Friday).
They recently opened a location at the new Hmart in Westminster, so I’m looking forward to trying that one too (although the menu is slightly different to avoid overlapping items with other vendors in the food court.)
This place will definitely take a spot in my regular K-food rotation!
*They have some interesting/atypical spellings of their dishes.

Best side dishes I ever had at a Korean spot! Also serve free bone broth soup that’s perfect to start and end meal with. I will say the portions are on the smaller side and wish they gave more meat…

Well worth meal after a run. It was decent. Satisfied my comfort carvings especially on a cold day.

Service was efficient but it felt like a self serve place. Food wise it was decent. The short rib portion was kinda disappointing having to pay $31 for the combo. The beef inside the tofu soup was minced and the tofu had bigger portion.

Atmosphere was spacious, clean. The restaurant is well maintained with water, cups, extra plates and bowls are at the table.

Stopped by Yoo’s Place in Irvine and it’s definitely a solid spot for classic Korean dishes. We ordered the seafood & green onion pancake, napa wraps with pork, sundae stew, and noodles with spicy seafood soup. Out of everything, the sundae stew was probably my favorite of the night — really flavorful and comforting — but the seafood & green onion pancake also stood out with a nice balance of flavors. Everything felt familiar and homey, without trying to be flashy or trendy. Portions are generous, very good for family style eating. Service was friendly, and the space was casual. It’s definitely the kind of place you go to for Korean comfort food done right. Dependable dishes that hit.

I’m Korean, so at least once every two weeks I find myself craving decent Korean food. I visited a Korean restaurant Yoo’s place in Irvine.

I ordered jajangmyeon, grilled mackerel, and spicy pork bulgogi. Wow—the flavors were on par with well-known restaurants in Korea. The place was busy with people waiting, but what really impressed me was how two middle-aged ladies managed the entire dining room so efficiently, handling every customer without missing a beat. I honestly thought, Wow, they are really good at their jobs. As a restaurant owner myself, I couldn’t help but think that I’d love to have two employees like them.

The jajangmyeon was very good. I could taste a bit of MGS that I personally dont mind at all, but the balance of wok aroma, saltiness, and sweetness was just right for my palate. And the spicy pork bulgogi barbecue was so delicious that it actually made me want to learn how to make it myself.

My go to local spot for solid Korean. The owners and their daughter are so friendly and sweet – my favorite is the carafe of bone broth and the small cold noodles they provide as soon as you sit down!

My favorite items are the yukejang with mandu, the thistle bibimbap, and the mungbean pancakes. I’ve gotten the pancakes to go, and even after a 50 minute commute they are still crispy!

Transparently, I do think the prices are a bit higher than what you will find at some larger chains like BCD, but they more than make up for it with the attentive service and clearly homemade wholesome food!
