It’s shame I have to leave this review. But I feel it’s necessary to prevent it from setting high expectations. I’ve been eating Salvadoran food most of my life. So I can say this coming from experience. The atmosphere is not so much the point here because if the food and service is great, then it wouldn’t matter. When I arrived to eat, there were a booths available but I was eating alone. From the second I sat down I was being rushed, even when I was eating I was being rushed. Not just by one server, but by three. They weren’t checking in on me to see if there’s anything else I needed. They were checking in on me to rush me so that they can sit the next party. The waitress herself told me, that she needed the table to sit a party down.I was barely able to enjoy my food because it felt rushed. I arrived at 12:45 and left by 1:15. The food itself was blah. The pupusa‘s or the worst I’ve ever had. The rice was hard and overcooked. It was as if I was given the scrapes at the end of the pan. I was there on a Sunday and they did not have beef soup. What Salvadoran place doesn’t make beef soup on a Sunday? Unheard of. Long story short it was a terrible experience.

I visited a couple days ago and I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. When I walked in everyone was very welcoming and trying to get my family and I seated quickly. When we got seated our server, Valeria, truly made our experience very comfortable. It was our first time and she explained and answered our questions about the food. She made sure our drinks were full and came to check on us even thought she was having an extremely busy night. I will definitely come back because of her extraordinary efforts to make us feel taken care of.

If you like pupusas, this is the place! Prices are reasonable, portions are big. The place could use some TLC and the service is not always consistent, but we’re keeping it in our list of to-go places.

The pupusas are kind of small but very good flavor also the cole slaw that comes with it could have a little more salt or vinegar but overall good I had the jalapeños with cheese very cheese and awesome the sauce good not great but worth the dunk to add something to the pupusas also good service given that I think only two servers were working
