I was staying up the street and didn’t feel like traveling far. Had a craving for steak and saw the previous reviews about the menu switch up. Also saw about having prime rib on the weekends (at the time of this review!) and figured I’d give it a shot. It was a good cut, obviously all cuts physically can’t be good cuts…but I was happy with this one! The flavor/seasoning was a bit bland, but that could be on me (moved to TX a while ago) with my palette being adjusted a bit. Texture was great, cooked perfectly. That appetizer with the corn ribs was pretty good too. Caesar salad hit the spot as well. I heard they were out of a few things from the menu, but that happens! Restaurants aren’t running a charity. Don’t let the low reviews on here worry you, much of those are old and are people being upset about the removal of steak from the menu.

I have found the second of my two favorite restaurants in Grand Junction. So good. Apps were yummy and the main courses so satisfying. New menu, new heights. Southwestern gastro pub instead of stuffy old steakhouse. Corn ribs, garlic cheese curds, crack Mac n cheese, salmon with chimichurri, and corn casserole. All so tasty. Great service. Nice ambiance. Will be here again.

I had the Caesar salad, 8oz filet, and au gratin potatoes. All were terrific. My partner had the house salad, sausage stuffed pasta, and corn ribs. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the corn ribs were well seasoned and fun. Unfortunately, the pasta was a bit crispy. However, the filling was delicious. We shared the cheesecake platter for dessert, and it was scrumptious.

We were expecting good. It was GREAT! We needed gluten free. Many delicious GF options to choose from. Staff was well educated about GF needs. The Colorado Corn Ribs were one of the best appetizers we’ve ever had. When it came out, waitress double checked that it was, indeed, GF. Corn ribs dusted in sriracha seasoning and Parmesan cheese. Then deep fried. Never had anything like it before. The Pork Chili Verde burger was knife and fork delicious. Had a GF bun too. The scalloped potatoes and cast iron corn sides were just as delicious. Our waitress was a real doll too. Would go back again if passing through Grand Junction. Easy walking distance from many hotels too.

It was our first time here and it is not a place we would recommend. Our server Lyn ( we think that was her name) was absolutely amazing and took great care of us our entire dinner.

The main issue we had was Lyn told the kitchen that we had a nut allergy, but when we received our pasta dish it was topped with a pesto chimichurri (which has pine nuts). If we did not notice the sauce we would’ve needed to go to the hospital. I feel like the kitchen is disorganized and needs a little time figuring out a system. The best part of our night was how great Lyn was and how much we appreciate her checking on us and offering us a free dessert.

Lastly, the best parts of our dinner was the potato skins, our dessert and of course Lyn. 🙂

I so badly wanted this to be good. I was excited for a new high end restaurant in town but the quality just wasn’t great. There was a real olive garden/outback vibe and the food was what I would expect from a pub downtown. The cocktails were decent but not anything to write home about. All in all I would have expected something similar for half the price.

The fries were not amazing, they were over cooked with a few cheese shavings and called truffle fries.

The steak meat quality was mid grade and what you can get at any restaurant in town serving steak.

The meal was ok, nothing special and definitely not worth the money.

Decided to try this new steakhouse out, overall had an excellent experience! Service was great, atmosphere was inviting and radiated the nice steakhouse feel. The filet and pork chop we had were cooked perfect, French onion soup was perfect as well as the wedge salad! my only reservations were my Mojito was way too minty, and the side dishes (scalloped au gratin was oily and lacked flavor, also the sautéed onions were still pretty undercooked and raw) these are things that I feel will get better with time though. Price was definitely on the higher side for the current food quality of what we ordered however we will try it again in a few more months to see how they’ve improved.

Their sides are big and meant for sharing which is interesting; I have never been to a restaurant who did that before. I loved the potato stack. I ordered a filet mignon which was good but I’m personally not a fan of the glaze they put on it (some people may love it, but it’s not my preference). They forgot the protein for the pasta, but they brought it out later. It was overall good. I would go back. I do want to try their tapas menu. Our bill with tip was $124.15 for two entrees, two big shared sides, a soda, and two rum mixed drinks.

We had a great meal! The salmon and steak were cooked wonderfully and the steak had a great sear and still perfectly medium rare. Only knock would be the steak could use some garlic powder, but that’s my personal preference and it was still delicious.

My friend and I had the margarita and it was the WORST we’d ever had. It was way too sour. Our server never asked how they were. I probably would have sent it back. My friends both had the steak sandwich. Every other bite they couldn’t chew and had to spit it out. The bread was so hard for them to chew too as it was hard and very dry! One friend had the Mushroom soup & it looked & tasted like a bowl of grease. We did get that taken off as it was inedible. My steak wasn’t cooked properly. It was good but cooked medium. I ordered it medium rare. I won’t recommend this restaurant. They definitely need improvement.
