I ordered a pickup order for their new Surf & Turf, I ordered it at 11:30am to pick up at 12pm. I got there at 12pm and they told me they didn’t have my order yet and started making it when I got there. After 15 minutes they gave me my order or so I thought, they gave me a DoorDash order instead. I told them that this isn’t mine and they told me they couldn’t get me the other order under my name because I was for DoorDash. I went back and forth with them before they placed both orders on the counter, and I took the one under my name. They also forgot my drink and I had to go back inside to get it.
Now for my meal. The shrimp was deep fried with the tail still on, which isn’t advertised in the meal. The ice tea was warm so it was evident they poured tea over ice, and my Cole slaw was warm and liquid-y. Everyone knows in New Haven County as the Popeyes on Foxon Road being horrible, but this is definitely up there and a contender.
Also they don’t have a drive thru so don’t try to do a drive thru pickup.

Honestly, a terrible experience every time.
Especially for pick up deliveries like Uber Eats & DoorDash, I dread going in because I know the food will never be on time. They wait to start it u til arrival. Staff lacks basic mannerisms, rude, and they look miserable. Time to start declining these pick ups.

This location could do much better if they hire a good team! All of them chatting while customers just waiting to get their order. The guy was upset from something else before and he didnt even greet me or ask me nothing when I walk to counter for my order. Never had this kind of low service any place else. I have to wait extra few minutes for the fries as the bowl was empty and they didnt even bother to refill things on time. The place wasnt busy so no excuses.

The waitress at the front desk has a very bad attitude and looks impatient. I wonder if it’s because I’m Chinese that she discriminates against me. I really don’t like to see her face, which directly brings me negative emotions and I’m in a bad mood. When the meal is ready, just throw it to me without saying a word. I won’t go next time.

If I could give a Negative Zero, trust me I would. The staff here is so miserable and when you tell them they messed up your order they talk crap about you under their breathe. New flash, You don’t have to work here if you’re going to be this miserable. The most horrible experience I have ever had, I would rather drive farther away than deal with this hot mess close to home. I have just come off a 12 hour shift and came her to be treated like garbage ! Just horrible!!

Customer service very poor. All I ever want is a side of spicy mayo and the front lady never gives it to me. Anyone else doesn’t seem to care. Also chicken tenders have 5% meat

Rude! I will not be a customer to a business that has rude employees (unfortunately, I did not read her name badge)… I don’t care if it is Connecticut. An adult woman who can’t even handle an entry-level high school student’s cashier job should probably learn to be nicer and attract a partner who’s more willing and happy to work. That way, she can stay home where she wants to be. She evidently does not want to be here… now, neither do I.
Bad employees cost good businesses good customers! I did not place an order because of her, and I will never order from this Popeyes because she has been allowed to keep her job, even though it’s evident she has been this way for a long time.
Please be a good consumer and REFUSE to put up with poor customer service. It’s a choice to be pleasant or not, and it’s a choice to be a customer as well!

Do yourself a favor and keep it moving. Lazy workers, cheap owners. 9pm and all chicken is in boxes, not under heat lamp, a whole 2 hrs before closing. No $6 big box
