Very delicious food and friendly staff. Good prices! Plenty of space. Today we ordered Cheese flat bread and Zaatar. Then we had a picnic downtown Claremont at Shelton Park. Thats awesome! If you are willing to drive a mile up the street you can sit outside in a great outdoor setting. Enjoy your Alamir food!

I’ve ordered manakish zaatar from El Amira multiple times, usually by phone and for pickup, and this was by far the worst experience.
I ordered ahead, came to pick it up, and was told they would put it on a plate inside a paper bag. I asked for a proper to-go box because the manakish was sliding around and clearly not secure. I was then told that a pizza-style box costs $1 extra, which made no sense, especially since I’ve ordered the exact same item before and have always been given a box when I asked, without being charged.
When I pointed this out, the employee initially denied ever giving me a box before, then backtracked and said the box I was referring to was their brown to-go box, which is exactly what I was asking for the entire time. I was not asking for a pizza box. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, they handed me a tiny white clamshell box that clearly didn’t fit the manakish. When I said I didn’t want that box and asked for the standard brown to-go box, I was told that because I only ordered one item, they “can’t” put it in that box. That is, frankly, the cheapest and most ridiculous excuse I’ve ever heard.
The whole interaction felt cheap, dismissive, and unnecessarily argumentative over something as basic as packaging, especially for a food item that clearly needs to be transported flat. Other bakeries don’t nickel-and-dime customers over boxes, especially loyal ones.
Good food doesn’t excuse poor service. This experience completely turned me off from ordering here again.

If you’re in Claremont, CA, and craving authentic Lebanese flavors, Al Amir Bakery is a must-visit. This family-owned gem specializes in manakeesh—Lebanese flatbreads baked to perfection. The za’atar and cheese manakeesh is a standout, featuring a harmonious blend of thyme, sumac, sesame seeds, and creamy white cheese atop a chewy, blistered crust. The hummus is smooth and creamy, while the foul (fava bean stew) is zesty with lemon and garlic, served with freshly baked pita. With its warm hospitality and affordable prices, Al Amir Bakery offers a delightful taste of Lebanon right in Claremont

This place is honestly underrated in my opinion. The food is consistent and well priced. This is the type of place that I would put alongside In N Out in that if something comes up and I can’t cook food at home this place is a quick solution where my wallet and my stomach will be happy I chose it.
The cheese triangles and kofta flat bread are my favorites and I often will get a labne or hummus plate if dining in with my family. Since the menu isn’t too large they have very consistent wait times so I always know what to expect.

This is a small Lebanese joint with a busy oven. It’s technically a bakery. It’s like you went to the Middle East in a Beirut neighborhood or Egyptian or Saudi strip mall. The food is traditional Lebanese and has an Arabic influence. Pies, veggies and lebnah, very tasty at great prices. This is a rare find and I think for Claremont it’a a beauty to have such a rare shop in its back yard.
