I truly like The Crescent Restaurant. The food is good, cooked to order, occasionally, it may be slow with a large crowd, but still worthwhile in my opinion. We went here for a family dinner while on vacation. We sat outside with our dog and there was live music with a good atmosphere. We were the first of the many people there for the night to order food, and after waiting an hour and 10 minutes, ended up cancelling our order without getting the food. The staff was rude and aggressive when we asked to cancel the order and never came to tell us there was a delay in making our food. We got there right when the servers got there, at 5:00pm and ordered very shortly after, maybe the 4th or 5th table to order. So over an hour to go through 5 tables or so with no update? I never once “yelled at” or raised my voice at staff. Terrible service. Would not recommend.
In the owners response, they stated they had a full dining room and bar, there were 6 tables and 5 people at the bar, by no means full. The dog they mentioned was in the shade and was drinking water regularly, not a problem. If staff ever came to check on us, they would have seen this. And the staff never once came to tell us they were short staffed until after we had cancelled our order. This response from the owner is blatantly false. The owner did not seem the least bit surprised when we asked to cancel our order, making me believe that it is a regular occurrence for them, again going back to a very poor customer service. I never once “yelled at” or raised my voice at staff. All I did was question why the food was taking so long. This amount of ineptitude and falsification by the owner is appalling. Would not recommend unless you want to sit for hours without getting any food.

We went for wing night thursday. The wings are very meaty cooked crisp and delicious. Sauces were good too. Service is awesome hometown restaurant that treat everyone like family… We went there for dinner last year too and all was great.. Try the flat breads as well. You can’t go wrong with this hidden gem!

Unfortunately our experience here was not great. We waited patiently for service at our table. Finally we went to the bar to order our own drinks. After nearly a half hour the waitress came to take our order. They were out of perch. The haddock dinner and fries were very good. The French fries reminded me of boardwalk fries. The philly cheese steak was small and underwhelming. Follow up service left a lot to be desired.

No Visa/ Mastercard sticker on the door and a sign that says ATM inside, so I figured it was cash only and I was walking out and someone said oh no they take cards, so I walked back in to ask a member of the wait staff and there was nobody to be seen. No sign indicating that I would be seated or asking me to seat myself, patrons didn’t even look up at me to help me out, I had read all of the reviews that said the service was slow and rude and I wish I could comment on that because I didn’t see a single person who worked there when I walked in. You got to give me something to work with here people.
