Hidden down a set of stairs, He Nan Hui Mian is a no-frills local restaurant in Flushing that specializes in traditional Henan-style noodle dishes, with flavors from Northern China, such as fresh hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, and meat-filled burgers. You can see the long noodles being pulled right in front of you by the sweet family and they have a nice bounce & chew to them once cooked. The dumplings are juicy and delicious, with your choice of filling (pork, lamb, or vegetarian). We got the lamb dumplings and they were great topped with some chili oil. Love the cumin lamb burger here as well – it’s filled to the brim lamb in a sesame-filled bun. So flavorful and glistening with fatness. The perfect meal on a cold winter day!

Unassuming but delicious spot. Stopped by here for some quick burgers as snacks. I really liked the stewed pork burger, and they were quite generous with the meat quantity. Others in the group really liked the lamb cumin burger too.

After watching a TikTok video, we had to stop by and try their noodles, soup, and dumplings. We spent about 30 bucks and had some leftover food to take home. Had their beef and lamb pulled noodles. Nice brothy flavor for their soup, and the dumplings were fantastic as well. Cash only.

Got the lamb noodles and lamb Chinese burger. Great flavours and as expected, noodles are quite greasy but I guess it adds to the flavor. Brings some wipes and hand sanitizer with you as the tables could do with a clean.

HIDDEN GEM FOR LAMB NOODLE SOUP
I always come here for the lamb noodle soup as it tastes so fresh and good. I’ve seen them make the noodles before. The restaurant is pretty lowkey and locals usually go there to eat, socialize, and drink a couple of beers. The price is very cheap and they have other dishes as well. Bring cash!

A Henan restaurant serving lamb noodle soup.
Note: Cash only
Location: it is downstairs.
Visit for lamb noodle soup. The soup taste very light at the beginning. There might be salts at the bottom. I added chili sauce to adjust the taste. One thing good is their chili sauce is spicy. Besides, the lamb in the soup is not tender.
Maybe I did not order the correct dish…

For only $10, you get freshly made hand-pulled noodles with lamb, topped with bok choy, onions, and seaweed. That is an incredible deal for the quality and taste of the food.
You can sit in the restaurant and enjoy the meal and it was extremely satisfying. The lamb was tender and fatty, and the noodles were so moist and fresh. The flavors and aroma of the entire dish overall were delicious. You could even eat it with the hot chili oil provided to you at the table, which gives the dish an extra spicy kick.
The inside of this establishment is super snug and homey as well. It does not get more authentic than this in NYC.

Had pork skin jelly and lamb burger based on reviews here – so good! You can see them hand pulling noodles in the kitchen while eating (too full already for noodles this time…)! So sorry to further bump the star rating towards 5 stars with a good review from a non Asian, but this isn’t a hipster place promise, it is really good!

What a shame. Food was good but from reading the reviews, it seems my boyfriend and I are the 9th and 10th person who have gotten really sick from this place in the past 6 months….took us out for 24 hours….not sanitary place at all. We got the stir fried lamb noodles…
