I stopped by Chops & Hops on a recommendation, and I’m really glad I did. The place has a relaxed, hometown feel, and the staff treated me like I’d been coming there for years. I ordered the pork chops, and honestly they were some of the best I’ve had anywhere, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly right. The sides tasted fresh, not like the typical “afterthought” sides you get at other spots. It’s one of those restaurants where you finish your meal already thinking about what you’ll order next time. Definitely worth the trip to Watkinsville.

We enjoyed a date night with drinks, a burbon drink handsome and wealthy and the Honey Bear pear, Buffalo chicken dip followed was hot and delicious, ceaser salad we shared and split a mushroom wild.blue burger with handcut fries. Very good, will be back.

Being completely honest the food lacked seasoning. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, and literally nothing was seasoned. The steak was cooked well done like I asked, but almost too well done because it was a little burnt. The Caesar salad was good but over dressed. The chocolate milk cake was delicious. Truly enjoyed the buffalo chicken dip and the spinach dip. The restaurant space wise is tight, and the parking lot is tight as well. We had an amazing server I wish I had of gotten her name, but she made it an amazing experience for us.

For the price. 50% of the short rib was fat. Also, you think/assume more than 1 rib. Nope . You know what they say when you assume. That’s on me .. Green beans .. COLD. Was traveling, two hours later I had to go buy more food because I was hungry, because the meal wasn’t enough sustenance.

Had a great time at Chops & Hops! The food was delicious, and I loved the atmosphere. If you go, definitely check out their beer selection—they have some great brews that pair perfectly with the steak. A solid spot for dinner!

Went for lunch. We ordered Braised Short Rib and Ribeye with Premium sides. Only disappointment were both mashed potatoes. They were to salty.
Past review: Went there for Valentines lunch. They had a Valentine menu, but We ordered from the dinner entrées. Wife Had the ribeye and I the sirloin steak. Both steaks were great, as were the mash potatoes. Go here often because we are rarely disappointed and the price seems more reasonable then other restaurants in the area. Also, my wife ordered a Long Island Iced Tea for $9. Was good for the price, but I am sure it would have been better if someone wanted to upgrade to top shelf brands(which is what I do at home). The service was great and the waitress had some great suggestions. And they have some super clean bathrooms.

This was my first time dining at Watkinsville Chops & Hops, and it was an amazing experience, thanks to our server, Caden—I believe that was his name. He was a young professional with impressive knowledge and exceptional customer service. I arrived right at 11 AM when they opened and was warmly greeted and promptly seated. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I can’t wait to return. Thank you, Caden and the entire staff!

The food was excellent. It’s not a very large menu but what they have is very delicious. Everything was clean and neat and orderly. Inside was super cold. They had that air condition. I would definitely recommend this to other people.
