What a great new find on 41st St!
Huge menu of savory and sweet crabs plus burgers and much more you order at the counter pay and find a place to see yourself then they bring the food up to you.
So not full service sit down, but very nicely decorated clean and adorable. Great location. Service was amazing. The owners are very kind and hospitable. Did I mention the food was amazing?!

The service here was excellent, food was absolutely delicious, one of the best crepes I’ve ever had! The portions were large, and it was ready fast! The overall experience was great! I highly recommend it for a brunch! It’s amazing! ☺️

Blue Lava Cafe, formerly Sweet Pea Cafe, is a wonderful find! The breakfast was amazing, we ordered a savory breakfast burrito complete with gently fried potatoes, and a classic Eggs Benedict crepe with perfectly cooked eggs, yummy ham and delicious hollandaise! To sample the crepes on their own, we shared the cinnamon sugar version – lovely, light and flavorful – a delight! The portions are large and we’ll be having great leftovers at some point. Don’t be confused by the name change…the menu is the same and so is the longtime staff. Everyone was kind, friendly, and very eager to please, especially the new owner. Bonne Chance! We’ll be back!

The cafe is lovely. The staff is very kind and the food is great. I really appreciate all the gluten free options! We had a Nutella crepe, and a salmon crepe and the portions were HUGE. We are definitely coming back!!!

The soup is awesome! fresh, healthy, and no aftertaste from starter junk. The wonderful owner is so kind and loves her profession. Please support this cafe and let her know how the food tastes. She is making gradual changes to enhance the menu, recipes, and environment, and is incorporating organic ingredients when possible.

Wonderful breakfast spot with the kindest owner. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast here while on vacation. We ordered a sweet crepe, waffle, and omelette with a side of fruit, which were all delicious. The portions were large, and the fruit was very fresh. The place was bright and clean. It exceeded my expectations, and we will definitely visit again during our next trip!

Had a Santa Fe crepe and it was really good. Only wish they would use real green chilis and not bell peppers. New Mexico/Colorado chilis are pretty easy to source nowadays. However, the food was otherwise great, and I loved the music/vibe.
